Plus Size Fashion: Basics and Neutral Colors
Hi everyone, winter is playing peek-a-boo with us here in Delhi. I am frustrated since I cannot really dress up like winter (and I don’t even like harsh winters!). It has hardly been like real winter for a week. Anyhow.
Everyday when I am getting ready for office, I have to add layers depending on the mode of transport I am taking! If I am taking an auto, I have to dress up to protect myself from the cold wind. If I am taking the bus, I have to layer so that I can remove them as and when required if it gets too stuffy. And if I am going in the car, I wear clothes like it’s October. It gets so warm during the day. Anyhow. I have still managed to wear a few of my core winter outfits. I thought of sharing them one-by-one with you!

I was in the mood to dress up and since I had not worn a dress for more than a couple of weeks, I decided to wear one this time. Until a year ago, I used to buy tunics, skater dresses and maxi dresses a lot. After losing weight, I totally fell off the wagon and immediately got on the jeans and top bandwagon.
I love wearing dresses and this white one is a favourite of mine. It looks great with all colors and (I feel that) looks good on me. I wanted to wear my navy bomber jacket but ended up wearing this tan jacket from Gipsy. I think all of these three basic colors look great together.
Since I do nothing to my wear, I felt like wearing a cap to keep myself warm and tame my unruly baby hair was the best idea. And I think it worked 😉
These boots are my favourite and I can’t get enough of them. I got them last year from marks & Spencer but never got to wear them since the winter was going away when I got them (I need to plan my shopping trips better). So I started wearing them this winter only. I have always wanted knee-length boots like these. They have a strong elastic band at the back and zipper on the inside. They fit me really well. Since I have small feet and heavy calves, normal boots do not fit me well. The ones that are my size do not close near the calves and the ones that fit my calves are usually at least 3 sizes bigger than my feet. These boots are just one size bigger than my actual foot size. I intentionally got a bigger size so that I could wear my fuzzy socks with them. You are going to see these boots in plenty of upcoming outfits as well.
I had a bit of time after doing the household chores so I ended up applying a bit of makeup as well. It is pretty basic, nothing special.
