Votré Face Serum Review

Ever since the advent of face serums, people with dry skin have breathed a sign of relief quite literally. Because face serums bring relief to dry skin! I have dry skin which gets patchy and dehydrated in winter. Before face serums, I used to apply oil (almond oil) to my face before moisturizer especially in winter. It gave me big pores 🙁 Anyway, then I was introduced to the world of face serum, ampoule, essence and masksheets. Of course it has taken Indian brands some time to keep up with the rest of the world but I am so glad we are finally getting some home grown serums. The first I got try is the Votré Face Serum which I received in my January FabBag. I have been putting it to good use these days so here is the review for you!

When I received the Votre Face Serum in my January FabBag, I was really excited! First because it was really cold and I was planning to start using a serum. And second because it was my first time trying out a serum from an Indian brand. On top of that, this has a really small potent ingredient list and is an Ayurvedic product. How cool is that?
In my FabBag unboxing and review video, I pronounced the name as Vo-tray but later I realized that it is pronouned as Water!

Votre Face Serum comes in a brown glass bottle with gold plastic cap and a glass dropper. Many serums come in this form. This packaging is always considered hygienic but being a glass bottle, not travel-friendly. A plastic dropper may have been ideal. I have major issues with the print on the packaging. It is not legible, probably because of the font used. And this is not a cheap product so a little more effort in packaging would be favorable in my opinion! Anyway.
It has a nice rose + lemon scent (more rosy) which does not linger for long. I am not a huge fan of the scent but it is not completely off-putting.

The Votre Face Serum is milky white in color and has a water-y consistency. Since it contains multiple oils and extracts, it separates into oil and water layers in my opinion when applied. See the pic above. But it is very lightweight and suitable for all skintypes (even oily skin). I love using it during the day (since I use a heavier serum at night). It feels hydrating to the skin. It works great at keeping the skin supple and moisturized all day long. I have not noticed any specific effect from its application.

Overall, Votre Face Serum is a good hydrating serum suitable for all skintypes. It is an Ayurvedic product and contains 100% botanical ingredients which is always a plus in my eyes. It is a bit pricey in my opinion. The packaging is also hygienic but not my favorite. I have dry skin so I want something a bit more creamy than this water-y serum. I think it will work better for normal to oil skin types. I am also using the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid at night (which I will be reviewing soon) too!
