I love eye makeup and even on my lazy days, if I have to wear makeup I always ensure that I highlight my eyes even if I have no time to do the rest of my face. I have been a fan of liquid liners ever since my sister taught me how to apply them (when I was 14). I have now developed a special place for gel liners, pencil liners in my heart too. But I have never been keen on kajals. They are way too creamy for my water-y eyes. So when I received The SoulTree Coloured Kohl in my FabBag, I knew I had to give the kajals a shot. Here is my review!

All of the shades look really vivid in photos but I only got to try the black one so I can only review the individual shade and the formula of the product.
The SoulTree Cooured kajal in pure black is a glossy deep black shade that is really smooth and glides like butter on the lashline. This is not shocking since the formula contains clarified butter (ghee). I really loved how intense it looked immediately after applying. Just one swipe gave me a wonderful color payoff without tugging.
This kajal is not water-proof or smudge-proof. For me, it smudged a little especially around the outer corner of the eyes mainly. The kajal stayed really intense only during the first hour and slowly started fading. Since I have water-y eyes, it also smudged a bit under my lower lashline (nothing major though).
The kohl despite fading stayed for over 8 hours on my lower lashline so it did not vanish completely. I am still not a kajal convert and will take a liquid liner anyday over a creamy kohl. However, the ayurvedic formula in this color kohl from SoulTree will work for people who swear by kajals and are looking for smooth nature-origin formula!

Recommend: Maybe
Repurchase: No
I enjoyed using the SoulTree colored kohl in Pure Black however, I will still not repurchase it. Mainly because I am not a huge fan of kajals as a whole and they do not sit well on my watery eyes! Based on my experience, I would still recommend this product to people who enjoy using kajals and are looking for ayurvedic formula! It is creamy, and glides easily and it is also easy to remove!
