Cereals are good for health and if we go with what The Face Shop claims with their Supreme Cereal masksheet range, cereals are good when applied topically to the skin too! I picked up two mask sheets from this skincare range of 3 and used both of them at a gap of 3 days to try them out. I used the Supreme Cereal Black Bean mask first so I am reviewing it first. Read on to find out if it worked for me!

Claim: A mask sheet made of pure cotton that contains Korean Black Bean extract which keeps your skin elastic and delivers rich nourishment to tired and dry skin.

How To Use:

• After cleansing, take out the sheet and unfold
• Place on the eye, nose area and fit on the entire face
• Peel the mask off after 15-20 minutes and gently pat the remaining formula onto the face and neck.

The Face Shop Supreme Cereal mask range comes in 3 forms:

1. Black Bean
2. Brown Rice
3. Soybean

The Face Shop Supreme Cereal Black Bean mask sheet comes in an individual sachet. It is a cotton masksheet soaked in Black Bean extract in addition to Grapefruit extract, Cocoa extract, Castor oil, Sodium Hyaluronate (Sodium salt of Hyaluronic acid). The essence is colorless and has a mild aroma (mild citrus scent in my opinion). This face mask is geared towards all skin types.
I used this mask sheet a couple of night ago. I removed my makeup, gave my face a thorough cleanse and then used a toner to close the pores. Then I opened the pack and placed the mask sheet on my face. The essence in this mask is also very thin and runs while placing the mask. It felt cooling to the skin. I removed it after about 15 minutes. Then I tapped my face gently to let it all absorb into my skin. The mask still had a lot of essence in it which I used to moisturize my neck, hands and arms.
When I woke up in the morning, my skin felt soft similar to what it feels when I apply a rich night cream (since I do not do it everyday). I know that Hyaluronic acid is considered good for holding moisture to the skin and decreasing wrinkles so using masks while this over time will help my skin prevent ageing. But for instant results or long term benefits, one mask sheet (one day of use) does not bring visible results. I just use these to calm down and relax at the end of the day hoping to also get some skincare benefits.

Compared to The Face Shop Real Nature masks, the Supreme Cereal masks contain less number of fruit and plant extracts but both ranges added fragrance. However, for the paraben-phobics (like me) this one wins as the Real Nature masks contain added parabens whereas the Supreme Cereal masks don’t. I enjoyed using The Face Shop Supreme Cereal Black bean mask. Next in line is the Supreme Cereal Brown Rice mask. Stay tuned for review!
