The Face Shop Blueberry Real Nature Mask review
Every beauty obsessed girl has heard about the hype around masksheets especially from Korean brands. After coming to Seoul, I considered it my duty to explore Korean cosmetics for the greater good of the beauty community 😉 Ahem! I was particularly curious about the face masks – sheet masks in particular – and I have not been disappointed. I may have the most face masks from The Face Shop!
Every Korean beauty brand from low-end(drugstore) to high-end (premium) do face masks both in sheet-mask form and cream-tub form. And the price for sheet masks range from 950 KRW to 5000KRW (<1$ to 4$) for one sheet mask. I have tried low to medium-range products and my favorite sheet masks belong to Mamonde and The Face Shop brands.
Amongst the options at The Face Shop, I have particularly loved the Blueberry real nature mask. I have used 3 of Blueberry masks and can say that they are awesome!
Product: The Face Shop Real Nature Mask Blueberry
Claim: A highly nourishing mask sheet containing blueberry extract to help regain skin softness and youthful impression. The air pockets within the sheet contain handful of nutritional essence, providing natural moisture and nourishment to skin.
Directions:
1. Wash face and apply toner.
2. Pull out the mask and carefully place it on the face.
3. Remove after 10-12 minutes and tap lightly to absorb the remaining essence into the skin.
Price: 1000 KRW (~ 1$) | Buy Online

Review: I never follow directions completely so I do not apply toner. My skin is dry enough to not need it and most dermatologists say that people with normal and dry skins do not need to apply toners regularly.
This mask is very moisturizing and the effect lasts upto 3 days (and I have dry skin-type!). The essence in the mask sheet is sufficient enough for me to wipe the excess from the sheet (after removing from my face) to my neck and the back of my hands!
Key points:
1. The fragrance is listed last in the ingredients list and I do think the mask is not heavily perfumed which is always a plus in my eyes for skincare products.
2. The other good thing is that Blueberry extract is fourth in the Ingredient list (after Aqua, Glycerin and Butylene Glycol). This makes the Blueberry one of the key ingredients and this is how it should be (but sadly is not true in many cases)
In many other masks (from other brands), a name will be listed in bold on the front but it will be way down in the ingredient list after harsher chemicals. The higher the natural extracts and ingredients, the better!

The Face Shop mask sheets are affordable 1000 KRW (<1$) per piece and are available in singles as well as pack of 10s (at 10,000 KRW) in The Face Shop stores. If you wait long enough, there are always 1+1 or 50% off on masks every few weeks in stores. Of course you can get good deals online on Amazon!
