The Face Shop Baby Face Hydrogel Mask Collagen – Review, Price!

My love for The Face Shop masksheets is apparent through this blog, their face mask sheets have been my most reviewed products (in number) in the last couple of years. I had been trying out some other brands in the past, but now I am back with my The Face Shop masksheets and today I am reviewing the Baby Face Hydrogel mask Collagen.

I have used Innisfree and Etude House Hydrogel masksheets before but as far as I can remember I have not tried the hydro gel masks by The Face Shop. So this was my first one and I used it yesterday.
My skin has been extremely dry in the past 2 years but it is now adjusting to Indian weather and getting better, of course skincare products I am using currently get the credit to a larger extent.
The Face Shop Hydrogel Baby Face Collagen masksheet comes in individual sachet. The hydrgel masks come in two parts – one for the upper part of the face and one for the lower. I find that because of this they fit my face better else the usual cotton masks don’t sit well near my nose and cheeks area.

The hydrol gel masksheets are really delicate and come folded between two layers of plastic sheets, one white and one transparent, cut out in the same shape as the mask sheet. The Baby Face Collagen Hydro gel mask sheet is slightly peach-y in color (most hydrogel masks come translucent) and clings to the skin really well.

I put this masksheet on my face and it immediately clinged to the skin – it felt really soft, moisturizing and cool! I relaxed for the next 30 minutes forcing myself to stay awake and then removed this. With Bleached Cotton masksheets, there is usually a lot of essence left over the face but with this one, I just had to pat once all over the face to let it all absorb quickly. My skin felt very cool and supple to touch, I then went to sleep. I woke up in the morning to a well nourished skin!

Some of the key ingredients of the mask are:
Irish Moss (Red Algae), Hydrolyzed Collagen, Scutellaria Baicalensis(Baikal skullcap) root extract, Camellia sinensis (Green tea)Houttuynia cordata(Bishop’s weed), Castor Seed oil, Japenese Mugwort leaf extract, Houttuynia cordata (fishy smell herb) extract, Aloe Vera extract.

This mask also contains parabens, added color and fragrance!
Rating: 4.25/5
Recommend: Yes
Repurchase: Yes
This mask is really moisturizing to the skin and even after 28 hours of using it, I can feel some added moisture to my skin. To be honest I prefer Hydrogel masksheets over bleached cotton masksheets anyway so this one is a new favorite. I would have liked this hydrogel mask sheet way better without the added color and fragrance (and parabens!) I have 2 more face masks from this Hydrogel masksheet range from The Face Shop and will be trying them over the coming few days. Of course the review will come afterwards too so stay tuned!
