Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-pout Time! Vivid lipstick – Review, Swatches

Hi everyone! How are you doing today? I have been having a lot of fun trying out all the new products coming in the market. I had recently talked about the launch of the Sugar Cosmetics It’s A-pout Time! Vivid lipsticks. There are 4 gorgeous shades in this range and I was interested in trying these out too. Luckily, one from the range arrived in the March FabBag! The shade I received is 04 Coraline in the City. I have been putting it to test so here is a review for you!

Sugar It’s A-pout Time Vivid lipsticks come in a beautiful colorful cardboard packaging with geometric print. Purple and black rule the outer packaging and all the product details are listed on the box. The lipstick itself comes in a rectangular matte black tube. The lipstick is slanted at an angle which works well for direct application to the lips. I like the packaging (not love it) and if you own multiple shades from the range, it would be hard to distinguish between them based on the outer packaging. The shade name is printed on the tube though!

SUGAR Vivid lipstick Swatches:

The SUGAR It’s A-pout Time Lipsticks have a gel-like, balmy consistency and glide on the lips like a balm. They are very light-weight and feel nourishing to the lips when applied. One swipe gives a good color payoff but it is not completely opaque. Two swipes gave me a near-opaque finish, however, this lipstick is not build-able more than that. It starts looking clumpy third swipe onwards.
These lipsticks set to a semi-matte finish but do not feel drying the lips.

These are not transfer-proof and go everywhere until they fade away. On my lips, these lipsticks lasted for about 4 hours before fading away. I did not notice any stain behind but while fading away these lipsticks did not look very good on the lips. They cling to the dry areas on the lips accentuating them (only when they fade away). So exfoliating before application only can solve this issue.
These lipsticks do not feather or bleed out of the lipline. They stay put and look gorgeous for 4-5 hours. If you have dry lips, you may have to clean them off every 3-4 hours and reapply.
I love how pigmented the shades are and each one of the 4 shades in this range is beautiful. All the shades are different and would work for all Indian skintones! These lipsticks are affordable and also good value for money. I love how the shade 04 Coraline In the City looks on me. It is perfect for spring/summer!

Overall I like the matte black packaging and the vivid color of the SUGAR Cosmetics It’s A-pout Time vivid lipstick. In fact all of the shades are gorgeous and I would love to try them out. These lipsticks have a gel like formula which makes then glide on the lips smoothly. These set to a semi-matte finish which looks very flattering to the lips (+ matte lips are the flavour of the season). They last well for about 4-5 hours before fading away. They are affordable and all the shades would work for Indian skintone!
