Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Mask Review

Hello there! I am finally recovering from jetlag and decided to do a Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Mask review post for you today. As I told in the previous posts, I have not tried a lot of Korean beauty products. I had heard good things about Skinfood so I had bought a Hair mask from Skin food which comes in the sachet form like face sheet masks. This is the only thing I bought that day and this is the only thing from Skinfood that I have used.
I used it a couple of days ago and feel like I am ready to talk about what it did or didn’t do. So let’s get started.

Skinfood Argan Oil Hair mask
Skinfood Argan Oil Hair mask

Product: Skinfood Argan Oil Silk Hair Mask
Description: Containing Argan Oil, which is rich in nutrition and excellent at moisture keeping, this hair mask gives dry and  damaged hair a silky and lustrous shine.
Quantity: 20g (hair treatment) + 8g (essence in hair cap)
Price: 3500 KRW (~ 3$)
Skinfood, Etude Housee and other Korean cosmetics brands sell hair masks in sachet form which are good for one time use and supposed to be used in two steps.
How To Use:

  1. Shampoo your hair, towel dry and apply the hair treatment to the hair without touching the scalp.
  2. Wear the essence hair cap and massage your head from above the hair cap.
  3. Wash with a gentle shampoo after 10 minutes.

I used this on  Monday and honestly I do not see a visible difference in my hair. I expected it to be a bit more moisturizing than a normal hair mask since it contains two nourishing essence. The hair treatment which has the consistency of a hair conditioner is supposed to be more moisturizing and the essence in hair cap is supposed to lock in the moisture and nourish the hair. I think it was just an extra step in achieving what I can get from a good hair conditioner or hair mask in one step.

I like the concept behind the hair masks like these and I bet these are the best hair treatments for travel but for routine use, it is way more expensive and does a little above average job. I get similar results from Oriflame NATURE Aloe Vera & Maracuja soothing hair mask. Which cost me 249 INR and has already lasted me 6 times and may last for 8-10 more times compared to this which cost me 170 INR.
I also received free samples (which I sadly cropped out) – Egg White Pore Foam (2 sachet), Grape Cell Gift Set, Black Sugar Wash off face mask.
Have you tried Skinfood Argan Oil Silk hair mask or any other Skinfood products? Which is your favorite hair mask?
