SK II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil Review
Hi everyone, how are you today? I have been really busy preparing for Holi and my upcoming travel plan to visit my family in Chandigarh. The weather in Delhi is crazy. I am loving the crisp days and the cool nights. My skin, however, was having issues with adjusting to the sudden weather change. So I have been using a couple of luxury skincare products to calm and soothe my skin. For daytime I am using my NUXE Paris skincare set while for night, I am using the deluxe size samples I received from SK II quite some time ago. I have been using the SKII Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil for so many days now to remove my makeup. I am sad that I am going to run out soon. Anyway, let me review it for you guys first!

My Experience with the SK II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil
I got my skin evaluated at an SK II counter at an airport quite some time ago. The analysis was given to me and I was glad to find out that my skin was 3 years younger than me! I was a little disheartened to see that my skin is dehydrated which was leading to the dullness and fine lines. There are also sun spots in the deeper layers of the skin (I am not disciplined with my sunscreen). I received a couple of deluxe size samples of two of their products meant for my skin type – SK II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil, SK II Stempower Rich Cream – after the analysis. Let’s jump into the review!

SKII Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil comes in a frosted plastic bottle with pump dispenser. The packaging is very sophisticated and fuss-free. It is not travel-friendly though! Many high end brands have a lid to keep the pump secure, this usually prevents spillage. I would have liked to see that with this cleansing oil as well.
The cleansing oil is clear in color and has the texture of a lightweight oil. It does not have a very strong scent but it is a bit sweet and fruity. I follow the instructions and take out about 3 pumps of the products and then spread it all over my face. I then massage for about 1 minute to break up any makeup or dirt buildup in the pores. I then rinse my face with water (sometimes lukewarm). This makeup remover takes away every bit of waterproof makeup! And I have never had any residue left over after rinsing. My skin feels clean and soft.

One thing I specifically noticed is that within 3 days, my skin cleared up. The tiny bumps I had on my T zone vanished and my skin became far more smooth than it has been ever since I came to Delhi. This is also the reason I am worried about going back to other cleanser after this one. It has worked wonders for me!
I know I am basically raving about this cleanser till now but let me tell you I am not 100% impressed. This is one of the most expensive makeup cleanser I have ever used. And even though it worked well for me, I am a bit underwhelmed after seeing the ingredients. It contains so many silicones! I mean for such an expensive product, I would expect better ingredients. I even saw Mineral Oil as an ingredient in the list on Sephora but not on SK II website. If this contains Mineral Oil (which is a cheap ingredient and totally not great for the skin), I would be so disappointed!

Overall, I think the SK II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil is a good cleanser for removing waterproof makeup (well makeup of any kind). It cleanses the skin well without stripping it of moisture. I love how clean my skin feels after I use this cleanser!

It is an expensive item so really doubtful if I will buy cleansing oil which can be made by myself. Thanks for sharing. Nice product though!
