Shopping in Apgujeongrodeo, Seoul
I am participating in the A to Z Blogging challenge this April. The task is to write a post every day (except Sunday) for 26 days with the corresponding alphabet of the English Language. Today is April 1st so it is time to write about something with the Letter A as the highlight of the post.
Since this a strictly beauty, makeup, shopping blog I have decided to stick to my “Shopping in Seoul” series for this challenge. It will motivate me to write about everything I have learnt about where to shop in Seoul.
When I came to South Korea, I had no one to guide me and it has taken me almost 2 years to know everything that I do and I hope my knowledge can help someone coming to Seoul! Let’s get started.
“Apgujeong Rodeo” street is dubbed as the Beverly Hills of Seoul! I have been to this shopping district and it is a very posh area full of showrooms of International designer labels which are not available anywhere else in South Korea. Korean celebrities are said to frequent the Cheongdam street which comes in this area and houses labels like Tory Burch, Chanel, Cartier, Rolls Royce etc. I will cover Cheongdam street separately.
Beauty brand stores:
(Korean cosmetics)
- Etude House
- Hera
- Clio Professional
- The Face Shop
- Nature Republic
- Innisfree
- Aritaum
- Missha
- The Saem
- Espoir
(International)
- Aveda
- MAC Professional store
Specialty stores:
- H&M
- Uniqlo
Shopping Malls:
- The Galleria
I will tackle the brands at ‘The Galleria’ in an upcoming post. It is one of the first places you should check out for high end makeup brands.
I have listed all the brands and places I could remember on the top of my head. I am planning to visit Apgujeong Rodeo again soon and will update this list. If you are into labels and need to check out specific high end brands, Apgujeong Rodeo street is the best place to start with!
