Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor – Review, Swatches, FOTD, Price in India!

Hi everyone, today I bring you the review of a product that I have been using a lot these days. I am talking about the latest makeup launch from Revlon, the Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. These were released last year in USA and other countries but were launched last month in India. I picked the shade Devotion and it is my go to lipstick these days. So let’s get started with the review!

Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor comes in a flattened clear plastic tube with silver metallic cap. All the details are printed on a sticker at the back of the tube. The shade is visible on the outside of the packaging. The packaging gets a 5/5 from me since it is cute and travel-friendly. The applicator is soft and cushion-y and it’s shape (curved body and pointy tip) helps apply the lipcolor properly to the lips. There are currently 6 shades of this Matte Lipcolor available in India.
It smells sweet but not in a very pleasing way, however, it tastes nice (of course we are not supposed to eat it so this point should not even be a part of the review but I still thought of mentioning it).

Matte lipsticks in liquid form have been quite the rage in the past few months but this baby from Revlon is not just a liquid lipstick. It is a Lipcolor that is a beautiful amalgamation of lipstick, gloss and balm. It has the pigmentation and opacity of a lipstick, light feel of a gloss and moisturizing effect of a lip balm!
All of the shades released in India are gorgeous but I picked this muted pink shade called Devotion. I felt like I would get more use out of a wearable pink like this considering my everyday makeup look! And I am, I am totally Devoted to it 😉

Onto the lasting power and stuff, this lipstick is so easy to apply, it gives a good wash of color in one swipe and a good opaque look on 2-3 swipes. It feels very light on the lips and sets to a semi-matte finish. It looks very flattering even on my dry lips. I think it even helps fill the lines of the lips making them look more cushion-y and beautiful! It transfers a lot but still manages to stay upto 4 hours on me. A slight stain stays put for the next 1 hours before it all fades away.

Reapplication is also a breeze since this one glides like butter on the lips. Despite being moisturizing, it does not feel slick on the lips. I enjoy wearing it everyday. This shade looks really good with all kinds of eye makeup! This is the best liquid lipstick in India at this point in my opinion.
I did not notice any drying of lips with this matte lipstick. When I forgot to scrub my lips before applying this lipstick, I saw some tiny particles of it clung to the dry patches. So I would recommend prepping the lips. It is actually always a good idea to do that when using any statement shades, liquid and/or matte lipsticks.

I adore my Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lipcolor. I would have given it 5/5 but I have deducted the small fraction because of the strong scent. If the scent is not a deal breaker for you, I can vouch for the fact that this will become your go to lipstick! It comes in gorgeous shades, has a beautiful effect and feels light on the lips. The price is a bit high comparing my trusted Maybelline lipsticks but I am still willing to splurge on this beauty. I highly recommend this liquid lipstick from Revlon. Go get it girls!
