Review: Oriflame Optimals Cleansing Milk

Hi! I am here to review an Oriflame skincare product today. I have used this for a few months and I think I ready to state my opinion here on the blog! This month (because of my hand injury) I have decided to review the products that I already have since I am not going (actually I can’t) to go out shopping much. So I thought it would be a good idea to keep this as the review month! So subscribe to get the daily reviews this month!

Optimals Cleansing Milk

Product: Oriflame Optimals Cleansing Milk – Calming Complex with Cornflower extract
Claim: The soft milky formula removes impurities and make-up and protects the skin’s lipid barrier. The cornflower extract in its Calming Complex soothes and calms skin. This delicate formula is highly recommended for sensitive skin.
Quantity: 200 ml
My experience: I ordered this because it was meant for dry and sensitive skin and it claimed to contain “calming” complex. Once I started using it, I liked the way my skin felt after cleansing and washing with a face wash and then moisturizing. After a few days, I casually looked at the ingredients and was shocked to see fragrance and parabens in the list.
Most cleansers (Cream or milks) contain Glycerin but sadly even though this one is meant for the dry skin does not contain Glycerin.
I was also not pleased with having fragrance in a product meant for sensitive skin. Of course that is my personal preference but I think it makes sense to keep unnecessary ingredients to a minimum when something is claimed to be meant for sensitive skin.
However, I do not doubt the cleansing power of this cleansing milk. It is not very harsh on the skin and does remove makeup completely.
Rating: 2.75/5
Recommend: Maybe
Repurchase: No
I like using oil based cleansers or oils now so I will not be repurchasing this.
