Last year before leaving South Korea, I picked up a lot of Korean and Japanese makeup products. That is how I got my hands on the Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister Mascara. It cost me about 18 dollars in Korea but it is way cheaper in Japan (1200 Yen). I opened it recently and have been using it for over a month. I have made up my mind about the product so here is the review!

Majolica Majorca is a brand under the Shiseido umbrella and they have some of the most regally packaged beauty products. Kawai! One of their most popular Japanese mascaras belong to Fairy Drops and Majolica Majorca so I picked up a total of 4 mascaras from these two brands before leaving Korea. The Lash Expander Edge Meister is the first one I have opened out of them.
The Majolica Majorca Lash Expander Edge Meister comes in a Black and Gold plastic tube with a regal design. It has a twist open lid and the wand is dual sided plastic comb. The curved side is for applying the mascara and the other is to comb out and separate lashes. This is a lengthening mascara with fibres which give a very flutter-y kind of the look t the lashes.
I have sparse straight lashes so I always like lengthening mascaras that also hold the curl. I had read about the claim and reviews about this product so I had high hopes and this mascara has not disappointed me at all!
The plastic wand does taking a little bit of practice but I took to it fast and loved the results I got with this product. I first combed my lashes, then curled them with an eyelash curler, then applied the mascara from the curved side and then combed with the smaller comb side to separate my lashes.
The mascara holds the curl really well and lasts through the whole day without smudging or flaking. It is also easy to remove using any makeup remover, I like using oil-based makeup removers though.
The fibres in this mascara look so good on the lashes but if not applied properly, they can get in the eye and irritate it. I would therefore not recommend lens wearers and people with sensitive eyes from using this mascara. For others it will work well.
The formula has not changed over the past weeks I have been using it so I am happy that the performance is consistent!

I love how long this makes my eyelashes look, I hardly feel the need for wearing (artificial) lashes, not that I wear them regularly, but I like how open and round my eyes look with this mascara! If this mascara also gave me some volume, I would given this my “Best Mascara Ever Award” but it is for lengthening lashes only. I have also heard that it contains Macademia oil to nourish lashes and prevent them from breaking but I do not have that problem so I have no ides if these prevent lash breakage. All in all this is a great lengthening mascara and with a little practice can become anyone’s HG mascara. Majolica Majorca revise the formula periodically so bear that in mind before ordering it!
