The Face Shop Green Tea Real Nature Mask Review
Green Tea carries plenty of health and beauty benefits in it. It can be consumed directly or applied to the skin to reap its benefits. I like to drink green tea mixed with a bit of honey and I then save my teabag to use in my skin care. Most of the times, I use the tea bags on my eyes for the cooling effect (keeping them in the fridge for a few hours). Sometimes I make green tea, cool it down and splash my face with it. So when I came across The Face Shop Real Nature Green Tea mask, I thought it was the easiest and the most convenient way for everyone to have get some skincare benefits from green tea. So here is the review of the mask!

I got the Green Tea face mask on a huge The Face Shop sale. There was 10+10 offer and the sales executive let me choose 10 individual (different) mask sheets and gave me 5 Blueberry and 5 Rice mask sheets. See the haul here.
My skin got a bit crazy this week and I got a couple of not-so-tiny red bumps on my face. They were a bit itchy and I just couldn’t resist myself scratching them and making them a bit bigger! So yesterday I applied the Face Shop Green Tea face mask and I kid you not, the color of the pimples changed from red to light pink. They were not itchy any more either. I think the Green Tea extract in the essence must have calmed down my skin. It felt so relaxing. I think this masksheet will work for all skintypes.
The Green tea face mask feels like the least perfumed one as it does not smell of anything at all (to me), not even green tea. And for the first few minutes, I got a bit of tingly sensation on various parts of my face after placing the mask sheet on my face. But after removing the mask sheet, my skin felt quite calm and soothed.
Key points:
1. The fragrance is listed last in the ingredients list* and I do think the mask is not heavily perfumed.
2. The other good thing is that the green tea (camella Sinensis leaf) extract is third in the Ingredient list (after Water and Glycerin)!
3. Important ingredients: Phaseolus Radiatus Extract (Mung bean), Betula Platyphylla Japonica Bark Extract (Japanese White Birch), Rumex Crispus Root extract (Curly/yellow dock)
* contains parabens, fragrance

Green Tea on its own is a soothing agent when applied on the skin. So rather than making a mask by scratch, it is easier and more convenient to use it in the mask sheet form and then relax for 15-20 minutes! If you are looking to buy The Face Shop mask sheets, Green Tea mask sheet is the most soothing one I have used until now! I highly recommend it to everyone. I would have given it a 5/5 but I have deducted points mainly because of parabens!

[…] Green Tea (Read my review) […]
I used my first TFS mask today – the green tea pack! I am obsessed with everything green tea, so I decided to give the mask a go. The smell was pleasant and the essence was more than enough; my skin was thoroughly coated in the moisturising formula once I removed the soothing mask! Going to sleep now feeling very refreshed 🙂
I also bought the blueberry and mung bean ones at $3 (in Australia) so I’m excited to try them too~
Green Tea face mask is quite gentle and soothing, isn’t it? I liked it too. Blueberry and Mungbean masks are good too!
