Review: Fabindia Rose Facial Water

FabIndia Rose Facial Water Review

I have dry skin and never paid attention to the age-old CTM skincare rule. I always skipped using a toner. But in summer months, my T-zone gets a little oily so I use Rose water to freshen up my face and remove excess oil from the pores. I had used Banjara’s Rose water, Dabur Gulabari and Gulaab jal (Rose water) so I wanted to try something new. I had never tried any FabIndia products so I was bit hesitant to pick up something form their outlet at the Delhi airport but I am glad I did!

FabIndia Facial Rose Water

Product: FabIndia Rose Facial Water
Claim: Our 100% plant-based soothing water is collected during the steam distillation of flowers while extracting essential oils.
Ingredients: Distillate of Rose Petals
Quantity: 100 ml
Fabindia products are natural based and they are against animal testing. Plus this rose water comes without added parabens and does not have the overbearing rose smell that I dislike!
I like using rose waters as toners all other toners are too harsh for my dry skin. I use toners only in summer so I want something light and refreshing that cleans up my pores but does not dry out my skin!
The quality seems good to me and there is 100ml in the bottle but when I compare it to the Rosewater products available in the market, this one is quite pricey. I did not notice ant drying of skin but I am not doing backflips for it either. It is an average Rose water that does the job!

I was a fan of Gulaab Jal by Dabur years ago but stopped using it once I realized the bad properties of parabens and it has that, I stopped using it. I was not impressed with it anyway. I have also used Banjara’s big bottle of Rose water which was so cheap, I had a lot of questions about its quality but it worked out ok for me. So all in all I am on a search for a good Rose water and until then, Fabindia Facial Rose water it is!
