Review: Etude House Silk Scarf Damage 2X Avocado Seed

After Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo (now called the Organix Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo) and Organix Moroccan Argan Creme Conditioner, I have finally stumbled upon something I really love! Hair care products have never really impressed me and I am so scared of trying new products or using too many products at a time because my hair is not the most healthy! Because of lifestyle, diet and lack of proper care my hair is not very shiny, soft and manageable. But after using Etude House Silk Scarf Damage 2X Avocado Seed (Mask + Serum), I think my hair can be everything I want it to be! So read on my experience with it!

I usually apply oil to my hair before washing it (typical Indian woman style) but for the past couple of weeks, I have been to busy to do it so I wahed my hair twice without it and my hair showed immediate results but being extra tangle-y, brittle and less shiny. So at that moment I realized, it was the best time to test out a new hair care product. I found my Etude House Silk Scarf Damage 2X Avocado Seed and Etude House Silk Scarf Damage 2X Jojoba Seed sachets. I chose Avocado seed mask and serum first.
Before I discuss the hair transformation, let me first talk about the packaging and directions of use. The sachet are extremely light, travel-friendly (duh?) and come with the product in a good quantity. The packaging is clearly marked and the details are given in both Korean and English (thumbs up!). For Step 1 – Apply the hair mask to washed hair and keep it for a couple of minutes. And then wash off the mask. For step 2 – After towel drying, as a leave in conditioner, apply the hair serum to the length of the hair.
I washed my hair with an Amway shampoo and then applied the Avocado seed hair mask. It felt like a conditioner but the smell was divine – I sensed Floral and citrus but Etude House has classified it as Floral-Citrus-Musky scent. After removing excess water from my hair, I applied the serum and it smelled just the same, maybe a little more intense and delicious! I felt more creaminess in the serum (maybe because it has more moisturizing properties). And then I let my hair air-dry (like always). My hair had never looked that good after air drying in a long time! With my wavy hair getting more curly and voluminous after hair wash, I usually look like sunflower (not in a good way) but after using this, my hair was shinier, more tamed, smooth and less frizzy. I did not expect it to be suddenly smooth and silky but the softness made me run my fingers through my hair over and over again (I love my hair moment!)
At 950KRW (<1$) this is affordable. Plus there is no chance of overuse, overdose etc. This is something I can use 3-4 times a month or more and feel good about my hair or even everytime I wash my hair (every 3-4 days)!
Rating: 4.75/5

I already have the Jojoba Seed hair mask and serum from Etude House and now I plan on getting the Argan Seed and the Camella Seed ones too! For people with dry and frizzy hair, this will work really well. My friend (who has oily hair) has used the Argan Seed mask and serum and raves about it. So this is definitely for all hairtypes! The ingredient list is also good with more plant and fruits extract and no parabens! I highly recommend this product.

  1. Wow ritu such an amazing review! Youre amazing..u usually post a rave post about something when im looking for something similar..right now in mumbai the climate is so hot n humid..which is making my hair behave their worst(i have wavy-curly hairs which are dry in nature and tnd to get frizzy very easily!)
I wish i could try this product it sounds so tempting! 🙂 thanks for the review

    • Thank you Niha 🙂 You are such a sweetheart. My hair is similar to yours. I was really happy with the results I got from this product in one use. Usually I never get visible results or it takes time but this one was good. If they come out with an individual (full size) Hair Serum from this product, I will be the first to buy it 🙂
Etude House should come to India 🙂 Now that I am so close to going back to India I am so worried about how I am going to get my hands on the new Etude House products 🙁
