Estee Lauder Pure Color Long-lasting lipstick #18 Bois De Rose

This lipstick came as a part of the Estee Lauder holiday gift set – Glamour is Golden collection – in 2010. There were 4 shades – Pink Parfait, Tiger Eye, Rose Tea, Bois de Rose.
I gave the two of them (Pink Parfait and Tiger Eye) to my sister and kept the other two – Rose Tea, Bois de Rose – with me. Read the review of Rose Tea #17 here.
Bois De Rose looks like a Rosy brown shade in the packaging but looks pinker on the lips and even swatches more rosy than brown. It, like all other Estee Lauder Pure Color long lasting lipsticks, is very moisturizing. I also think this shade would suit most skin tones.
Since I have already written details in the Estee lauder Rose tea review post, let me give brief pointers about this lipstick (#18 Bois De Rose):

  • Very hydrating on the lips
  • Well pigmented
  • Opaque, the real color of the lips does not show
  • Stays longer
  • Transfers a little and fades beautifully
  • Does not feel dry even after a few hours
  • Looks fresh after reapplication
  • Does not dry out lips
  • Does not feather out
  • Makes lips look bigger and has added sheen to it (but no shimmer)
  • Does not have strong smell

Rating: 4.5/5

I would definitely be trying out more shades from the Estee Lauder Pure Color long-lasting lipsticks! I have used both the Estee Lauder lipsticks #17 Rose tea and #18 Bois De Rose a lot in the past and now as the time to retire them is upon me, I plan to try out newer shades from Estee Lauder! I highly recommend this shade to everyone!
