I am a huge fan of head massage and I always prefer them with oil (not dry). For years and years I stuck with the trusted Parachute Coconut oil but recently I have been trying out other hair oils available in the Indian market. I loved the Ramtirth Brahmi oil so this time I tried the Patanjali Almond oil. Here is a quick review!
Product: Patanjali Almond Hair Oil
Claim: This hair oil strengthens, softens and conditions hair and prevents hair fall.
Quantity: 100 ml
Price: 50 INR
Ingredients: Sesame oil, Almond oil, Indian Gooseberry (amla), Terminalia belerica (bahera), Terminalia Chebula (harad), Cl: 12740, Cl: 12150, Base Q.S.
Patanjali Almond Hair oil comes in a clear plastic bottle with brown flip top. The oil is honey colored and has a sharp almond smell. The scent may not work for everyone but I did not mind it since I like nutty scents.
The hair oil feels rich to touch and absorbs in the scalp fast especially if you have dry hair like mine. This hair oil also contains amla, harad and bahera which together make triphala. Triphala is one of the best products to balance all the three doshas of the body (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). So no matter which Ayurvedic body type you are or which dosha imbalance you have, this hair oil balances it. Basically it helps work on your hair problems internally in addition to providing hydration on the outside.
For an ayurvedic medicine, I would have preferred this hair oil without the added colors. in all other ways, this is a terrific hair oil and is also quite affordable.

I totally love Ayurvedic products and up until now, I have had great luck with Patanjali and Sri Sri Ayurveda products. I just finished using the Patanjali Almond hair oil and have started using the Sri Sri Ayurveda Bringrajamlakadi taila which I will be reviewing in a few days.
Have you tried the Patanjali Almond Hair Oil? Which is your favorite hair oil? Comment below!
