Hi everyone, I popped in today to share my thoughts about the Oriflame Silk & Cashmere Moisturizing & Massage Gel. My interest in Oriflame cosmetics heightened when I was in Sweden and learnt about the local beauty brands. I had heard a lot about Avon, Oriflame, and Amway in India but I never paid too much attention to the consultants I met.
I am not quite sure why I never looked into the catalogues seriously because now I’m hooked. I just love browzing through the Oriflame catalogues. Just recently I downloaded the Oriflame App to access the monthly catalogues. And I am loving it!

How To Use: Massage onto dry skin
I have plenty of Oriflame products and have my favorites. I bought this product just because the thought of Silk and Cashmere in a beauty product made me curious. And I am still 100% sure if I am pro this moisturizing body gel or against. This is a clear indication that my expectations were not met and this is pretty average – neither too good, nor too bad – product.
Rating: 2.5/5
Recommend: Maybe (to people with oily skin)
Repurchase: No
And the other reason I am not too crazy about this gel is that I do not like what I see in the ingredient list. It contains parabens which is something I do not prefer in my skincare products and the main ingredients listed on the bottle – Silk & Cashmere – do not seem to be the active ingredients. Silk Amino Acids comes pretty much down the list while I do not know which one is the Cashmere extract.
The consistency of the gel is very watery and it smells really powdery. I have dry skin and I do not see a visible difference to my skin after applying this gel. I would much rather prefer applying a body cream. This product may suit people with oily skin or it may only be suitable in summer when a rich body product is not very practical. But it is not really something that fits into my skincare and body care routine. And the price is unreasonable for the ingredients and the performance of the product.
I am only using this on days I get very tired and need to massage my legs to relieve my muscles. It works okay for that purpose but I can do it with any other massage gel or body cream as well! I think it would be safe to ignore the Oriflame Silk Cashmere Moisturizing Massage gel.
