I ordered an Omved Soap Bar Gift Set from Nykaa a couple of months ago. It came with three mini bar soaps and one full-size soap bar. Omved claims that their products are hand crafted, chemical-free, fair trade, natural, biodegradable and made in India. I like switching my bath products and also trying new brands so I decided to give Omved soaps a chance to impress me. I have reviews of 4 soaps packed in this post, enjoy reading!

Omved Kamalika Lotus Vetiver Bathbar

Claim: Absolutely divine, the exhilarating blend of the sensual White Lotus and the woody Vetiver make Kamalika bathbar the perfect wake-up call to a new beginning every morning. Lotus oil will heal what ails you both physically and mentally as it softens and conditions your skin while Vetiver oil refreshes, cools and relieves mental fatigue.

The Omved Kamalika soap is the only full-size soap in this gift set so I used it last and also for the longest. It is pink in color and comes in a plastic packaging with details printed on (what seems to be) a recycled paper. The bar is translucent and looks like gel in solid form. It smelled nice but nothing like lotus or vetiver in my opinion.
The soap lathers well but it is really gentle on the skin. I love the fact that this is paraben and fragrance free. The scent comes from the essential oils so the aromatherapy enthusiast in me appreciated this soap a lot! The soap was easy to lather and wash off and left also did not leave any residue behind. My skin felt clean but not dry!

Omved Shuddhi Neem Tulsi Bathbar

An anti-bacterial, moisturizing formula that offers you the benefits of cold-pressed Neem oil, a natural emollient and skin restorative, along with those of the Holy Basil – Tulsi, used in Ayurveda for nourishment and preservation of the skin.
Ingredients: Saponified oils of olive, vegetable and castor, Aloe Vera, retained glycerin, cold pressed Neem oil and holy basil extract, Tulsi (Basil) leaves.

When I first opened my Omved gift set, I expected to like this soap the least since I am more into floral scents and rich lather. I expected this to not lather well and also to dry out my (already dry) skin since it contains Neem oil. But I am happy to report that this is my favorite soap from the set and I loved it more than most bar soaps I have ever used.
It is translucent and Olive green in color with dark green bits. This soap smells nice, even though a bit on the herb side (surprise surprise) but nothing like Neem or just Tulsi. I enjoyed using this soap as it lather well and the dark green bits actually helped with mild exfoliation. It was again easy to wash off and did not leave my skin dry. It is my first choice for summer in soaps and I will be ordering a full sized one soon!

Omved Ananda Himalayan Rose Bathbar

I am a huge fan of the smell of rose waters and rose essential oils so I was most excited about this soap from the gift set. I opened this first from the four and loved the scent. The bar soap is opaque and pink in color. The smell of this soap filled the whole bathroom and the scent even lingered a little after the shower.
This soap, like the other Omved soaps, lathered well and washed off completely. It did not dry out my skin or leave any moisture. This is an artificial fragrance and paraben free soap so I like it but it did not particularly impress me. Out of all the 4 soaps, the scent of this one was the strongest and also lingered afterwards. I just expected too much from this soap I guess, it is good but did not stand out amongst the rest from this Omved Bathbar combo set.

Omved Ojas Mysore Sandalwood Bathbar

Sandalwood is one of my favorite scents in the wood scent category. Since I have lived in Karnataka for a long time, the enthusiasm of the people here for sandalwood might have rubbed off me. I like sandalwood based soaps especially the Mysore Sandalwood soaps produced and sold by Karnataka Soaps & Detergents Limited (A Govt. of Karnakata undertaking). So after the Omved Himalayn Rose soap, I used this one and expected to like it as well.
This soap bar is opaque and slightly yellow in color. When I opened this, I noticed that the scent was very mild and hardly noticeable on the soap and did not even register when I bathed. The scent was a bit of a letdown but the soap did its job well of lathering nicely and washing off completely without drying of the skin.

All of the bath bars from this Omved soap set are aromatherapy (contain essential oils) and lather well. All of them have a small ingredient list, besides being paraben and artificial fragrance free, which is always a plus point in my opinion. I liked the Omved Neem-Tulsi soap the most followed by Lotus-Vetiver, Himalayan Rose and Sandalwood. I loved all of them enough to want to repurchase them. I would recommend to people looking for handmade, chemical-free, aromatherapy soaps! And this bathbar gift set is a good value for money, you get to try 4 soaps for less than the price of 2!
