It’s been a long time since I reviewed a Nature Republic product! When I was in Korea, I used to frequent their stores and haul stuff. They offer a huge variety of products with Korean and various exotic ingredients at drugstore prices. One of their most iconic product is the Aloe vera Gel which I have loved in the past. I usually go for aloe based products so I was super glad to receive the Nature Republic Natural Fermentation Aloe Cleansing Cream as a birthday gift from my friend. I have been using it more in the past few weeks since my skin is getting drier and I need gentle (hence aloe-based) products. So here is what I think about this Aloe Cleansing cream!
Product: Nature Republic Natural Fermentation Aloe Cleansing Cream
Claim: The Aloe Cleansing Cream replenishes skin with moisture for a clean complexion.
Quantity: 300 ml (10.14 fl. oz.)
Price: 13000 KRW (~ 13$)
Ingredients of Note: Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice (aloe vera juice), Honey extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf extract (aloe vera gel), Rice Ferment Filtrate (sake), Saponaria Officinalis Leaf extract (Soapwort), Galactomyces Ferment filtrate, Avocado Oil
Review: The Nature Republic Natural Fermentation Aloe Cleansing cream comes in a translucent mint green plastic tub with a twist open lid. It only comes in this packaging and size (300 ml) so I would not even think about travelling with it. The cleansing cream is also mint-y green in color and has the consistency of a body butter! So for travelling, I would transfer a bit into a travel jar or something 🙂
I do not like to pay attention to the scent of skincare products but I know many people do so I should include that this smells fresh of aloe and cucumbers. It is minty green in color. Both the scent and the color of the cream are soothing to look at!
As per ingredients, this cleansing cream comes packed with wonderful ingredients (listed above) but also contains Mineral oil, Cetyl Alcohol, Fragrance and Color. I specifically mentioned those 5 because I am not a fan of all of these in my skincare. Plus I know alcohol can be drying to the skin, since I have dry skin I always prefer alcohol-free products. These mixed with added color, fragrance (in my opinion) make this unsuitable for sensitive skin.
Rating: 3.75/5
Recommend: Maybe. If you like using Aloe based products and are not allergic to fragrance and color in skincare, you might enjoy trying out this Cleansing cream.
Repurchase: No. First reason is that prefer Almond/Olive oil to remove my makeup and second, this cleansing cream is expensive for a drugstore product. I am also not a fan of mineral oil, alcohol, added color and fragrance in skincare.
