MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner – Review, Price!

Hi everyone, I have been trying out a lot new brands for my hair these days. When I got my hair colored a few months ago (read more about my hair makeover here), my hairdresser suggested the combination of Schwarzkopf Bonacure Therapy Color Freeze Shampoo and MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Conditioner for my dry, frizzy hair. I liked how both of those products worked in conjunction with each other so I thought maybe MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Shampoo and Conditioner will work even better together. Read on to find out how they actually worked!

Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner review
Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Conditioner

MoroccanOil Moisture Repair Shampoo and conditioner come in Teal and White plastic bottle with flip top lids. The bottles are sturdy and nice to look at. They are travel-friendly (in case you need to carry 250 ml size bottles). Moroccanoil Moisture Repair range of products, as mentioned in the claim above, is meant for dry, colored hair. Both of these products claim to be laden with the uber moisturizing Argan oil.
As I have mentioned in the introduction, I used the conditioner and liked it which made me want to try out the shampoo as well. However, my experience with the shampoo and conditioner has not been as impressive. The shampoo has a creamy consistency, like other moisturizing shampoos in the market, and lathers well. And the conditioner is also quite moisturizing. BUT both of these products together weigh my hair down. And trust me, it takes a lot of moisture to weigh my hair down.
My hair is super dry and there is too much volume in it especially after hair wash but these haircare products make my hair lifeless! However, I did not have any issues with the cleansing action and lathering of this shampoo-conditioner duo. I also liked the scent of it especially since it lasted for a while after the wash. So overall, I am not happy with how this all turned out.

Overall, despite having dry hair this moisturizing shampoo-conditioner duo did not work well for me. I like my curly hair but I do prefer to have a bit of bounce and life in it. Since Moroccanoil Moisture Repair Shampoo and conditioner did not work for my dry hair, so I cannot recommend them both to anyone with dry hair (of course these will not then work for oily hair). However, since the conditioner worked really well with the Schwarzkopf shampoo, I think these products will work well when paired with other products. I am now going to try out the BedHead by TiGi Color Goddess Oil Infused Shampoo and Conditioner and will report back with the review in a few weeks!
