Missha Dong Baek Gold is a hair care range from the brand that comes features various products essential for hair care. I have not tried any other products from the line but I grabbed the Premium Hair Essential Ampoule quite sometime ago. The hair ampoule comes in an attention-grabbing hot pink cardboard packaging which houses 4 sealed glass bottle and one plastic cap. The bottle are tinted (brown) but transparent. You are supposed to open one bottle at a time and attach the plastic white cap which helps dispense the product properly.
Each hair ampoule bottle contains 8 ml of the product. And for my medium length hair, I use 3-4 drops at a time so one bottle lasts me 4-5 washes. The hair ampoule smells nice but not in an artificial or perfume kind of way. It is transparent in color and looks water-y even though it has a thicker consistency.
I have used this hair ampoule a few times and I think it has an apparent silicone feel to it. it is easy to spread and adds shine and softness to hair instantly. It does not weigh the hair down and does not make it look greasy. It has worked really well for my dry hair. It makes my hair look healthier that it really is and makes it more manageable.
I researched a little on the ingredients list and found out a bit more about a couple of things I was not too familiar with. Cyclopentasiloxane and Cyclohexasiloxane are volatile silicones which quickly evaporate into the air after delivering nutrients to the skin and hair. So these are ideal for hair and skin products and are usually paired with Dimethicone.
A lot of people refrain from product containing silicones so this hair ampoule is definitely not suitable for them (3 silicones!). However, for me, this has worked really well and the ingredient list is full of a lot of nourishing items and when I compare it to other finishing creams, styling products or hair serums, this ingredient list is far superior. So I give it a thumbs up. I enjoyed using this Missha Hair Ampoule!
