Maybelline New York have been consistently launching new products for the past couple of years in India, keeping us bloggers on our toes. I always get so excited for a new launch especially from Maybelline since I have had great luck with the products I try from them. The affordable drugstore prices keep my wallet happy too! I bought the Maybelline New York the Colossal Liner from Nykaa a couple of weeks ago. It is the only liquid liner I have been using since then and here is the review!

The Ink-pigment technology providing stunning, defining lines as well as intense colour. Its smudge-free, fade-proof, quick-dry formula ensures long-lasting bold application. It lasts for 12 hours!

Maybelline the Colossal Liner – Black, comes in a black plastic pen form with 0.4 mm Flexi tip applicator. The outer packaging has the same color scheme, black and yellow, as the Colossal kajal but the colors are opposite – for the Colossal liner the outer packaging is black with yellow print while the yellow packaging with black print is a trademark of the Colossal Kajal. I wish Maybelline had kept the same color theme. But I digress.
The sharp tip of the eyeliner makes it easy for creating winged liners of thin and bold style. The applicator is neither very stiff nor flimsy so it is easy to use and the beginners will especially love it!
I am in love with the pigmentation too, it is a deep black and in one swipe gives an intense black color with a glossy finish.

I have droopy and oily lids so I have had a little bit of an issue with the transfer as it takes a few moments to set dry and until then I have to be careful else I get it transferred on my lid.
Once it dries, it is smudge-proof and stays without fading for 7-8 hours on me! I have had even better lasting power and transfer-free experience when I applied an eyeshadow and/or primer on my lids. This happens probably because the Colossal liner gets something to hold onto since my eyelids are very oily!
I am really happy with my purchase and can say confidently that Maybelline have maintained the standards set by the Colossal Kajal and Colossal Kajal Turquoise with the Colossal liner as well. Just like the Colossal Kajal, this is also the most intense black you can imagine in liquid form!

From the swatches above you can guess the awesome precision, pigmentation and glossy finish of the Colossal pen liner. A thing of caution is that this eyeliner does travel into fine lines (as you can see from the photo above) so this eyeliner may not work for mature skin.

I have really liked the depth of this eyeliner. It one of the Blackest Black of my Black eyeliners (see what I did there). And with an eyeshadow primer, I have had great luck with the staying power of this eyeliner too. I highly recommend this to people looking for the intensity of a black liquid eyeliner without the brush liner with a glossy finish and long lasting power! And of course it is a must-have for all the Colossal kajal lovers. Maybelline has done it again!
