The lipsticks from Maybelline New York have always been my favorite from the drugstore lineup. Their Color Sensational range has most of my drugstore favorite lipsticks of all time. So when I saw the Maybelline Rebel Bouquet collection, I was looking forward to grab a few lipsticks from the range. I went to a Health & Glow store nearby to see swatches in person and fell in love with all of the shades. Since I already have a huge lipstick collection, I picked up a shade I knew I could wear everyday. So I picked up the REB07 shade. I have been wearing non-stop so here is the review!

The lipsticks only carry the code and are not distinguished with names. As I mentioned above, the bright colors of the rest of the 5 lipsticks also enticed me but I really liked how REB07 stood out. It is the kind of muted mauve that works with medium skintones (I’m NC35). I think there used to be something similar from Maybelline called Feel Pink in their Color Sensational range (I used to love that shade too).
The Maybelline New York Rebel Bouquet lipsticks come in a standard color sensational silver bullet form with Red plastic cap. That is all there is to it with the packaging, there is no way to distinguish between the shades from the collection. It’s a shame that the beautiful floral print (that says REBEL) on the lipstick cover is only on the plastic packaging. I would have loved it on the actual packaging since the plastic gets discarded 🙁
The REB07 shade is a beautiful muted mauve which is a totally office and everyday-appropriate color. It has the perfect warmth for Indian skintones so it is a versatile shade. It does not feather or bleed and stays put once applied. This is a creamy lipstick and has a glossy finish. I have noticed a bit of transfer but it is not a huge problem. It feels really soft and moisturizing to the lips.
The lipsticks lasts well for 4-5 hours and then leaves a slight stain behind. I totally forgot to mention that the color is much lighter in one swipe but can be built with a couple of swipes. It is easy to remove with makeup remover.

I loved this color and how nice it looks during the day and night. It has such nice moisturizing formula and shine but still gives a 5 hours performance without featuring, bleeding or settling in lines and thereafter leaving a gorgeous stain behind.
