Malavara is a bath and body product range that got added to The Fab Bag brands list recently. I received a deluxe size samples of their Lime Vetiver Body Wash and Body Lotion in my April 2015 FabBag Review – Shopping Escapades. There are 3 other scents in this range: Pepper Saffron, Sandalwood Rose, Tea Jasmine in addition to Lime Vetiver. I have been trying out the body cleanser and the lotion for more than a week so here are the reviews!

Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash

Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Wash comes in a clear plastic bottle with light green peacock print and silver twist open lid. The deluxe size sample is travel-friendly and the packaging is sturdy.
The body wash is slightly green in color, I guess adding to the Vetiver (khus) vibe like the Khus Sherbet, and smells fresh and summer-y. It feels cooling and refreshing to the skin and lathers really well. It also cleans the skin without leaving it dry.
I was going to give this body wash a 5/5 just by the experience, but if have followed this blog for a while you know I like to check ingredients. And this one kind of slightly disappointed me – it contains added fragrance, color, and has a surfectant SLES (Sodium Laureth Sulfate) instead of SLS (Sodium Lauryl Sulfate). So much for the SLS free label. But it is paraben-free. I loved the product but after seeing the ingredients and the price, I may not repurchase it.

I have rated this 4.25/5 and recommended it since this body cleanser contains pretty much what other body washes contains. And most people never care about the ingredients. I, however, may not repurchase the body wash because of the ingredient + price thing even though it is one of the best smelling summer body washes I have come across in the recent past. Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Lotion comes in a clear plastic bottle with green accents and silver twist-open lid. The packaging is sturdy and travel-friendly. The body lotion is white in color and smells of Vetiver (khus). It is really moisturizing and absorbs into the skin fast. The scent also lasts for at least a couple of hours after application.

I enjoyed using the Malavara Lime Vetiver Body Lotion, price may be the only deterrent in me repurchasing this body lotion. Actually I likes both of the products but the price seems a little too high to me. I am not sure if Malavara is a luxury brand, because then there is not point talking about the price. I am glad I got to try something different than the usual sweet and citrus scents available in the market.
