It has been a long time since I reviewed a website so I have decided to document my review and shopping experience at Luxola. Keep reading to find out if I would recommend Luxola to others and my shopping haul part of the post is at the end so scroll down for it!

Luxola Website Review

I am not always excited about online shopping, I like to see the products in person plus I am the kind of person who makes an outing out of a shopping spree so I like going to malls and flagship stores for my shopping fix. However, there are still a lot of brands that are yet to enter the Indian market and as a beauty blogger I always have this urge to try new brands. Enter International online stores.
I heard about Luxola through one of my shopping-obsessed friend and since I trust her opinion, I decided to give Luxola a chance as I wanted to get some Sleek makeup products. It was around the end of the year when I registered with them. And immediately I was drawn to their clean website design and product description. Everything was so well-organized and uncluttered I browsed for a long time just for fun.
Since they also have brand-wise categorization, I went to the Sleek makeup page. It was sad to see the “Sold Out” message on some of the products I had wanted, I still managed to pick up a palette choosing one from the six I had wanted and also got Real Techniques brushes that I had been wanting for a long time (they were on discount plus those are not available on Indian online shopping sites).

I chose COD (Cash on Delivery) as a payment option which is my first time for an International website, COD is not an option on many Indian online shopping websites. My bill had crossed the Free Shipping threshold of 2300 INR for India so I was even more excited.
A few hours after placing the order I found out reviews of the palette I had ordered. I never really read reviews before ordering something because I want to be unbiased and have a blank slate with relation to a particular product but somehow I did and the reviews were bad to average (ugh!) I decided to pick another palette that was a close second to the one while placing the order and chose the Ultra Matte V2 Darks Palette since I love me some smoky eye 😉
I called the Luxola phone number listed on the website to edit my order before shipping, because once the order is shipped it is not possible to change it. I kept on getting the “busy” message despite calling 4 times at a time interval, I decided to write an email to their Customer Care.
Thankfully they responded on the next day itself and changed my order as it had not shipped.
This may not be something big for others but since I had placed the order first time, had not paid (opted for COD) I was not expecting the odds in my favor. And that my friends is how and when I became a fan of Luxola (yes, even before receiving my order). Due to heavy load of orders on Luxola during the Festive season, my order arrived a little later than what they usually quote, I was still impressed. Everything, yes the powder shadows, arrived in perfect condition. So enjoy my shopping haul now!

I am happy that my order arrived safely and on time despite the heavy rush Luxola had in the festive season. I am glad I got the Sleek Ultra Mattes V2 palette because it is amazing. I will be doing swatch and review of the palettes and reviews of the brushes in the coming weeks. Luxola received a big thumbs up from me for their excellent customer service, clean website design, COD option for payment and timely product delivery! I will be ordering from them again!
