A few weeks ago I received a beautiful Gift Hamper by L’oreal containing the newly launched L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect creams. The timing was perfect since I was planning to try out a new face cream at the time. I recently also did a post about the details of the Skin Perfect skincare range and my first impression of the creams. I have been trying out the L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect cream for about 3 weeks now. So here is a detailed review of the L’Oreal paris Skin Perfect cream!

Review: The L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect creams come in a glass jar with plastic twist open lid. The tub is covered with white plastic sheet with the product details printed on it. The packaging is non-fussy, compact and quite grown up. Being a glass jar and in tub form, I would not consider this travel-friendly, since it does not come with a spatula. The cream itself is peach-y in color and has a powdery sweet citrus scent which I am not a huge fan of, luckily it does not linger.
The cream has a non-sticky and fast absorbing formula, making it perfect for everyday use. I am glad that it contains SPF but I would still use more sun protection since it only contains SPF21.
I started using the L’Oreal Paris Skin Perfect cream for Age 20+ at first since I felt that I had fine lines only in the under eye area and might be able to get away with the cream meant for that age group. However, it felt dry on my skin and I decided to stick to my age group as I turned 30 just 3 weeks ago. I reckoned that the cream contains Collagen and may work well for my dry skin with even drier patches!
However, even the Skin Perfect cream meant for Age 30+ is not enough to moisturize my skin. I feel that it works well for some parts of my face, T-Zone, while it does nothing on the drier parts of my face. I tried to layer it but failed to create an even canvass with it. It leaves a slight white-cast immediately after applying. I am not into whitening products and I not have anything to report on the whitening front. However, I have seen some spots lightening up on my face.
For me the Skin Perfect cream works best when I apply it over a Serum or Oil like my Nature Republic Red Ginseng Fermented Oil. This however will not be possible for me to do in summer since I do not apply serum during the day in Indian summer.
Rating: 3.25/5
Recommend: Maybe.
Repurchase: No.
This face cream did not work as well as I expected it to be. But I am not totally disappointed because I have extremely dry skin and need really hydrating creams to work well for me. I would have liked this better if it had higher SPF as well. I think this face cream will work for people with normal/oily skin types who are just starting to add anti-ageing creams to their skincare regime and are also looking for whitening products!
