L’Oreal Paris Colour Protect Protecting Shampoo, Conditioner Review
I started getting gray hair while I was seventeen and by the time I turned 25, my hair started needing regular coloring sessions. And one of the hair colors in India that I swear by is L’Orèal Paris Excellence Crème. I use the shade Dark Brown and it works really well for me. My hair is smooth and manageable for days after application. And since colored hair needs dedicated shampoo and conditioner, I expected the L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Shampoo and Conditioner to work well in conjunction with the hair color. I have used this pair for about 2 months and here is the detailed review for you!

L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Protecting Shampoo and conditioner come in red plastic bottles with flip open lids. The shampoo packaging stands right up while the conditioner bottle is supposed to be put upside down. The opening on the lid under the flip top dispenses appropriate amount of the product. I am not a huge fan of the color Red but I liked this packaging The bottles are sturdy and definitely travel-friendly. To be on the safe side, I suggest using a tape on the flip top to avoid accidental spillage.
The shampoo and conditioner both have a sweet scent and are white in color. The consistency is very creamy and gives the illusion of being a nourishing product. Well that is where it all went wrong for me. Both the shampoo and conditioner used together or alone made my hair appear dry and frizzy. The shampoo was the bigger culprit of the two. It made my hair feel soft for a handful of hours before making it look lifeless and dull.

Ditto with the L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Protecting Conditioner. It felt so creamy and good but it did nothing to tame my already-dry hair. I had ombre hair last year and I was still growing it out. But trust me when I say that those parts of my hair looked like a broom.
I hate to waste money so I kept on using these. But I had to employ multiple hair masks to add some much needed moisture to my hair.

Overall, I am not a fan of the L’Oreal Paris Color Protect Shampoo and Conditioner. I have had better luck with other L’Oreal Paris Hair products like the Hair Spa range I just started using. The sweet smell of the shampoo and conditioner is the only thing I like about these two products. I would not recommend these to anyone!
