I had heard about the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire lipstick last year when it was released in the US. L’Oreal is yet to release in India in stores but they are available on Nykaa.com as of now. I picked the shade Rose Symphony during the GOSF since it looked my kind of pink – not too pale, not too deep – and since I had no access to seeing the shades myself, I played a little gamble. Read on to find out if it worked out!

L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Extraordinaire are liquid lipsticks that boast of pigmentation of a lipstick with staying power and shine of a gloss. There are currently 8 shades available on Nykaa – 101 Rose Melody, 102 Rose Finale, 201 Rose Symphony, 204 Tangerine Sonate, 300 Orange Tempo, 301 Rough Soprano, 303 Rouge Allegro, 400 Plum Quartet.
L’Oreal Color Riche Extraordinaire lipsticks come in a gold packaging with a small colored band on the side plus the colored bottom of the tube help identify the lipstick shade. It comes with a doe foot applicator. I really liked the packaging, it looks so chic!

The Color Riche Extraordinaire lipstick have a sharp fruity smell that is not my absolute favorite feature of the lipsticks but it does not bother me enough as the rest of the features make up for the scent!
The formula is simply amazing, it has good pigmentation especially for deeper shades and high shine so you do not need to top it off with a gloss. If these two together did not blow your mind, this liquid lipstick has a nice moisturizing effect on the lips. So its a perfect 3 in 1 formula – moisture, color, shine!

I did not notice any left over stain from the lipstick and still got a wear of 3-4 hours. For a liquid lipstick (unlike the Etude House Color Lips-fit lipsticks), these are quite dense and do not migrate out of the lip line or feather! I specifically tested it for wear on the Day 1 of Bangalore Fashion Week. For a total of 12 hours, I had to reapply it 3 times through the day. My lips did not dry out at all, I did not apply a lip balm either, just the Color Riche Extraordinaire.

Liquid lipsticks are not the kind of lipsticks you can slap on and go about your day, you need to carefully build it and spread it over the lips. Of course a few extra moments that you spend applying this are nothing compared to how beautiful these shades look. I am planning to try out some deeper shades. The two I have on my mind are – 400 Plum Quartet and 303 Rouge Allegro!
