I follow Lakmé on Instagram and a few days go, they were all about lip pouts during the Lakmé Fashion Week. For the fall Lakmé introduced 6 shades in a new range of Matte Lip Tints range and I have heard that new shades will be released soon.

I was intrigued mainly by Magenta Magic, Raving Red and Victorian Rose. But considering the matte formula, upcoming season and the condition of my lips, I decided to pick up just one shade at first. So of all the 6, I ordered Magenta Magic on Flipkart.
I have used it a few times over the past week so here is a review of the Lakmé Absolute Lip Tint Matte in Magenta Magic!

Claim: Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout come in vibrant matte shades and offer quick and easy application. These give excellent colour payoff and offer convenience being in a retractable pencil form.

Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout comes in a cute chubby pencil form with silver metallic cap. These are retractable pencils and the stick body is the same color as the lipstick shade. I have loved this style of packaging ever since Clinique Chubby sticks. I love how travel-friendly, compact and cute this packaging is! The cardboard packaging that houses the lip pout stick contains all the details about the product.
Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout comes in 6 shades, as mentioned above, and the shades are named according to the shade they represent but do not come with a code. This is not a huge point of the review but I thought I would mention that so that it is easy for everyone to spot these.
Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout Magenta Magic is a true Magenta shade which gives a medium wash of Magenta to the lips in one swipe. These Lip Pouts give a matte finish and are a bit dry in texture, not so dry that you would need to drag it on the lips but not creamy enough to glide smoothly. Two swipes give a better color payoff!

As you can see from the swatch, one swipe gives a beautiful Magenta color. However, it gets deeper after 2-3 swipes (as seen in my FOTD below).
I have dry lips so I felt that prepping the lips for Lip Pout was necessary so I exfoliated and moisturized my lips beforehand. After about 3 hours of application, I felt a bit of dryness on the lips, but a lip balm took care of that instantly. This Matte Lip Tint remained put with minimal fading after a heavy meal. Overall I could get a good wear out of the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout for about 8 hours.
All of the shades from the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout range are vibrant and I am glad I tried Magenta Magic considering it is my go to shade for Autumn-Winter!

Overall I am pleased with the shade selection and the lasting power of the Lakmé Absolute Lip Pout, I would have liked the formula to be a bit more creamy though. For the price, Lakmé Absolute Lip Tint Matte are good value for money and perfect for everyday use, just keep a lip balm at hand.
