Hi everyone! I have been on a roll with makeup tutorials and review videos these days. And I am having an amazing time! Hope you are loving it equally. So today I am reviewing the latest launch from Lakmé – Lakmé 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation. It is readily available in the market these days and I picked up the shade Rose Ivory which the lightest shade in this range (there are 4-5 shades) with pink undertones. I have been using it for a few days now so here is my detailed review!
Product: Lakmé 9 to 5 Weightless Mousse Foundation (01 Rose Ivory)
Claim: This formula feels soft and incredibly weightless and provides the desired coverage for daily use. It blends effortlessly onto skin to conceal imperfections with a matte finish that stays through the day. A foundation so lightweight, you may forget you are wearing any foundation at all.

Lakme Weightless Mousse Foundation Review
Lakmé Weightless Mousse Foundation comes in a beautiful rose gold squeeze tube with metallic rose gold twist open lid. The packaging is a chic-ier version of the Lakme CC cream. The packaging is travel-friendly and hygienic, however for 575 bucks, I expected a bit more.
The opening of the squeeze tube is little and dispenses appropriate amount of product. It has a very airy texture, like a mousse, and blends easily on the skin. It sets to a matte finish. The shade Rose Ivory has pink undertones and looks nice on the skin. I think two of the other three shades have yellow undertones.
I have dry skin so matte foundations do not always look the best on me and same is the result from this mousse foundation. It clings to the dry spots on my face and makes my face appear a bit blotchy. This problem can be solved to an extent using a serum underneath or mixing it with the foundation itself.
However, my biggest issue with this foundation is the coverage. It has very light coverage and may only work for people with near perfect skin. It does not cover blemishes, dark spots or dark circles well. This foundation lasted for about 4 hours before fading away. It is not very buildable either. So as an everyday wear foundation, it might work for people with oily skin who do not have many skin problems.

Overall I think the Lakmé Weightless Mousse foundation would be more suitable in Spring and Summer since my skin is dry right now and it does not look very good on me. I think this foundation would work great for people with oily skin. A better coverage might have still made this more appealing to me. Also as an Indian brand, I hope Lakmé create products that cater to deeper skintones since the 4 shades I saw from this range did not seem to be dark enough. Alright! That is all I have to say (write) about this foundation. I am working on more makeup tutorials and looks now so if you would like to request a particular look, leave it in the comments section below. See you soon!
