Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream REVIEW

Today I bring to you the cream that I thought would change my life forever when I received it in my February 2015 FabBag – I am talking about Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream. I also received a powder facial cleanser from Kama Ayurveda in the same bag but I am yet to use it. Anyhow, I have used up this night cream and here is what I think about it:

The full size Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream comes in a dark glass jar packaging with a metallic lid. It does not come with a spatula (I can see the hygiene freaks shaking their head already). I used the sample size version so I did not think twice about the packaging. But a 50 g glass jar is not travel-friendly or hygienic in my books either. Moving on to the product itself.
Whenever I try a night cream which boasts of curing all the skincare problems that happen these days, I get a bit skeptical. So when I read that this night cream would remove all my skin troubles, I got very cautious of my skin condition to notice any visible difference.
This is a heavy-duty night cream so be light-handed with the use or else you will waste the product or else apply too much leading to breakout/oiliness. This cream takes its time to get absorbed into the skin, you literally have to massage it to force it to work faster 😉 I do not mind it though since massaging is good for the skin. But then the busy-bees might not approve of it.
After a few nights of using this, I can attest to the brightening effect of this cream even though the difference is barely noticeable. I also saw a few spots lightening up (yay for me). The cream however makes my T zone more oily than I prefer so I do not apply it there anymore.
Rating: 3.75/5
Recommend: Yes
Repurchase: Maybe
For the final verdict, let me warn you about the herb-like smell of the product which is not going to knock your socks off. If you like what you read on other skincare benefits of this cream, then ignore the smell and just go with it. The ingredient list is a long one with many plant, herb, flower extracts in addition to Dimethicone and stuff. This night cream is targeted towards “All Skin Types” but in my opinion it will work for normal/dry skin in dry weather better than summer etc. This was the first product I ever used from Kama Ayurveda so I am interested in exploring their product range soon! Kama Ayurveda Products are available on Kama Ayurveda website and Amazon India.

Have you tried the Kama Ayurveda Rejuvenating & Brightening Ayurvedic Night Cream? Which is your favorite night cream ever?

  1. Thank u for this amazing review…In summers my skin becomes oily so this one is not for me… i’ll get this in winter time .. bcz at that time winter makes my skin cry for heavy moisturizer… 🙁

  2. My fav night cream is Himalaya and Ponds….anyways good review dear…

    • Thanks Pranathi, I have never tried Himalaya night cream. I always thought it would be too rich for my skin. Maybe I need to look into it 🙂
