Innisfree Mint Green Tea Fresh Shampoo – Review

Its been a long time since I reviewed an Innisfree product but the irony is that I have Innisfree products in the largest number in my hair and skincare regime currently. I bought the Innisfree Mint Green Tea Fresh shampoo back February (during a sale, read the shopping haul post) but didn’t start actively using it until June. Read on to find out how this shampoo has been working out for me and also why I didn’t use it until I came to India!

Innisfree Mint Green Tea Shampoo is the most cooling hair products I have ever used. I actually used it in February after buying but since it was super cooling and it was winter time in Korea, I decided to wait to use it until summer time. As luck would have it, I came back to India during the hottest summer month (June) and this came in handy to cool my head!
The cooling sensation from the shampoo hits within a minute of applying it on the scalp and it lasts until I wrap my hair in a towel. Of course I did not buy this shampoo for this purpose so I must add the actual review points about this shampoo.
The shampoo comes in a mint green see-through plastic flip top bottle. I have traveled with it and have no spilling accidents to report. The bottle is sturdy enough to not be squeezable and I appreciate having a clear bottle to see how much of the product is left. Simply stating, it is a fuss-free travel-friendly packaging.
The shampoo is a clear gel like substance which has a very fresh scent which is minty (duh?) and cucumber-y. It lathers well and I feel like it is a clarifying shampoo. I have used different conditioners and hair masks with this shampoo and nothing alarming or specifically spectacular has occurred.
I cannot label this as my HG shampoo but this has so far become my second favorite of all time, after the Organix Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo. I enjoy using it (still have about 50 ml left) and would consider keeping this as my summer shampoo!
This is not an SLS-free and fragrance-free shampoo but it is paraben-free!

Innisfree has not let me down with their products in any of the categories from nails, hair, makeup to skincare. I would definitely recommend their products to people who are looking for mid range nature-origin cosmetics. Innisfree face masks, eye creams (especially from the  Eco Science range) are my favorites. I also have their makeup products in line for review so stay tuned for more Innisfree product reviews!
