We have all heard and enjoyed the catchy beats of “Gangnam style” a K-Pop song by Psy on YouTube or TVs. I enjoyed it a lot right when I heard it for the first time. I was in my hometown and my husband was in Seoul. We were talking one day and he asked me to casually type Gangnam Style in YouTube and watch the music video.
I had listened to K-Pop when i Was in Seoul for three months till June in 2012 so I decided to obey him. Usually our choices do not match and I never watch anything he suggests I do. Because I know I am no going to like it, ahem!
I listened and listenend and wanted to dance to the beats. My nephews caught up with the beats and in another two months “Gangnam Style” became the most watched video on YouTube.
So why am I talking about the song on a beauty blog where I am supposed to talk do a shopping haul?
Because I find it difficult to come to the point and I love telling stories 🙂 Now on to the haul.
I was intrigued by the “Gangam” culture which I heard a lot about but I had never been to Gangnam in Seoul even though it is a 20-minute subway ride away! Yesterday I finally went and roamed around Gangnam and shopped. And then shopped. And then shopped some more.
There was Innisfree, Skinfood, Aritaum, It’s Skin, The Face Shop, Missha, Nature Republic and many other beauty brands in the subway station and outside. I picked up plenty of things from different brands and plan to do the haul in separate parts per brand.
Let’s get started with the Innisfree Haul:
I had planned to get something unique, something that I hadn’t tried so I went in Innisfree first. I had an added advantage of the huge sale going on. No one can say NO to 50% off on premium brand products.

The lipsticks and lipglosses on sale looked like they were getting discontinued since a new line was sitting right beside the stuffed sale aisle. I still picked up things from the discounted line. I have far too many lipsticks than I can use so I picked up only one light pink shade that I know I will use a lot.
And then there were eyeshadow quads! They had some 5 or 6to choose from and since I do not apply too much of eye makeup usually and stick to neutrals, I picked up a single quad. Another thing I tried was nail paint. And to be different I picked up black! I have never ever ever worn a black nail paint before. I’m scared!
