I went for a dinner date with my husband today. I did not have a lot of time so I decided to keep the whole thing simple with just the neon lips standing out. I started my spring cleaning today as well and decided to use a lot of products that I have not been using because they have been hidden behind all the piles of new things I keep buying. I have decided to hold a Blog sale soon and will also be giving away some stuff to friends and family in addition to purging some products too. Anyway.
So during my spring cleaning session today, I found my Holika Holika Pro: Beauty Pencil Tint in PK102. I had been searching for it for quite sometime but finally found it in an old stationery holder (totally random). So I decided to use and then review it today. The other things I used in this look are also the ones I am in the process of reviewing!

I picked up the Holika Holika Pencil tint in Red and Pink almost a year ago when I was in Korea. I had heard a lot of good things about this range so I had high hopes. There are actually 8 shades in this range and I ended up picking the boldest shades!
The Holika Holika Pro: Beauty Pencil Tint comes in a black retractable plastic pen with color coordinated caps. It also has a sharpener at the end which is unlike anything I have seen in lipliners before. The packaging is super easy to use and travel-friendly!
This Pencil tint is super easy to use and has good pigmentation and being in pencil form, it is easy to apply and especially to define lips! There is a bit of a difference in the formula between shades too since the Red shades that I have, which I will be reviewing soon, is more creamy and has an even finish when compared to this pink shade.
These pencil tints last a ling time on the lips and the slight stain that they leave behind also stays for hours. They are however easy to remove and do not make the lips dry.
These tints apply glossy but slowly settle to a matte look which does not suit me so I always use a lip balm/lip gloss on top.

I like the formula, packaging and concept of the Holike Holika Pro Beauty Pencil Tint but I am not a huge fan of the shade, PK102, as it is too neon for my liking, it also does not conceal the uneven pigmentation of my lips. I would highly recommend this product to people who are looking for long-lasting bold lipsticks in convenient form (of lipliner).

Once I finished doing my makeup, I decided to tone down the lips since it was a bit too loud (neon!) for my liking. So instead of changing the color, I added a rich coral-y red shade from Estee lauder called the Passion Fruit Shimmer from the Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal lipstick range. I liked the results better this way!
