As I mentioned in my review of the Holika Holika Pro:Beauty Pencil Tint PK102, I picked up two shades from this range. Both are categorized in the pink category (PK101 and PK102) but they essentially are different shades with PK102 being a Coral-y Neon Pink shade and PK101 being a red with orange undertones. The formula of both the pencils seems to be slightly different to me so I decided to do separate reviews. Here are my thoughts on the PK101 shade!
Product: Holika Holika Pro: Beauty Pencil Tint PK101
Quantity: 0.56 g
Price: 10$
There are actually 8 shades in this range and both the shade I picked up seemed the boldest from the boldest amongst the rest. These Pencil Tints comes in a black retractable plastic pen packaging with color co-ordinated lids. They also come with a tip sharpener. The packaging gets a full 5/5 from me!
The Holika Holika Pencil Tint PK101 is a warm toned red bordering orange and has a creamy formula which is easy to apply on the lips. The Pencil form makes this tint easy to apply without the need for brushes. I love this product because of the precision of application it offers. It is not drying to the lips and sets to a matte finish. I like to apply a couple of layers for an even look.
The pigmentation of this product is also fabulous and it stays through the day. The color stays for almost 5 hours and then the stain stays for the rest of the day. I prefer reapplying this after 3 hours because I have pigmented lips and need to cover them completely or else the color looks uneven. This condition has nothing to do with the product’s performance but about my personal preferences and challenges. The stain comes off easily with any cream or oil-based makeup remover!

I like the formula, packaging and concept of the Holike Holika Pro Beauty Pencil Tints and as I mentioned above, I like this shade (PK101) much more than the PK102 shade I also bought from Holika Holika. This range of pencil tints is one of the famous and well-loved products from the Korean brand. I have not used this as a blush since this is a quick setting formula with a visible pigment but I know these pencil tints can be used as blush!
I would highly recommend this product to people who are looking for long-lasting red lipsticks in convenient form (of lipliner). Aside from Etude House Play101 pencils, nothing comes close to this product in terms of packaging, pigmentation and convenience!
