Holika Holika is a Korean brand that I really wanted to explore while in Korea but was unable to ad as much because of the limited access to their stores. I had The Face Shop, Etude House, Missha, Nature Republic, Innisfree, Aritaum etc. stores more accessible to me. So whenever I went to Myeongdong, Sinsa and other main shopping districts in Seoul, I always made it a point to check out Holika Holika stores. During one such visit I picked up 20 masksheets – 10 Aloe Essence and 10 Pearl Essence masks. I have used them and also featured them in my giveaways but totally forgot to review them here. So here is the review of both Holika Holika Aloe Essence and Pearl Essence Masksheets!
Holika Holika Aloe Essence Mask sheet – REVIEW

The Holika Holika Aloe Essence mask sheet comes in an individual sealed pack with ingredients and usage instructions listed on the back. The mask sheet itself is a bleached cotton masksheet soaked in Aloe essence.
This masksheet is scented but it is very mild and barely noticeable. The mask feels cooling to the skin and refreshes the skin on application. I have really dry skin but it tends to break out in summe, which I have no idea why, so I like using Aloe based products. Aloe vera gel and essence based products usually help keep my skin supple without making it oily.
I have used a few of these masksheets over the course of the past few months but have not noticed any long term effect – positive or otherwise, from this masksheet.

I like using face masksheets for weekly pampering sessions as I have dry skin and can always use some extra moisturization. This mask sheet, however, will work really well for all skintypes since the essence is not very heavy and feels really refreshing on the skin. And of course we all know the benefits of Aloe Vera in skincare products!

Holika Holika Pearl Essence masksheet comes in an individual sealed pack with a beautiful pearls printed on the front and products details and claims printed on the back in both Korean and English while the Ingredients are listed only in Korean! The masksheet is made of bleached cotton and is soaked in Pearl Essence.
I prefer unscented mask sheets but this masksheet contains added perfume which is very mild but may not work for sensitive skintypes. I have no faced any problem whatsoever.
I have used this masksheet to add some extra moisture to the skin, I did not see any visible brightening of the skin after using this mask sheet. Maybe if one would stick to using masksheets over a period of time (3 weeks or so) the brightening would be visible but I am way too lazy and nonchalant about my masks. I like to switch them up!
I basically picked this mask sheet up with the intention of adding pampering to my weekend skincare routine so I was not looking for or expecting any thing else!

I like using face masksheets from Korean brands and this one is no exception! I would recommend this mask sheet to people looking to hydrate skin and relax for a few minutes while doing so. These masksheets are excellent replacements to a night cream every few days! I do not expect miracles from my skincare especially face masks so I am totally satisfied with how these two masksheets worked for me!
