Himalaya Herbals Hydrating Face Wash Cream Review

Hi all! This a detialed post about my experience with the Himalaya Herbals Hydrating Cucumber & Aloe Vera Face Wash Cream. When Himalaya herbals was first introduced, I think it was called Ayurvedic Concepts. And the advertisements used to run on TV all the time, they always featured an old woman with a pleasing personality (grandma types) who told people the benefits of Ayurveda and Ayurvedic products. I was at an impressionable age and the ads went into my mind without any filters and I started believing that their products were good.
When they launched their beauty products in the market, I went and bought their face washes, shampoos and conditioners thinking they are purely Ayurvedic but now that I know more about ingredients and have used many other brands, my perception is changing.

I did not buy this product, my sister-in-law bought it for me because I ran out of my travel-size Himalaya Neem Foaming face Wash (reviewed here). My problem with this product is that it s supposed to be a face wash cream and they have even labelled it as soap-free but the ingredient list features Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate on the second spot!
The plus points in my opinion is that it is parabene and other petroleum-based ingredient free!
I do not think this even compares to the Neem Purifiying Foaming Face Wash which even though not outstanding is better than this one. I am not a big fan of the scent either which is something in between fresh cucumber and something sweet and powder-y. In fact it is too strong considering this is an Ayurvedic product.
Rating – 2.5/5

Read what the company says about itself (taken from the back of the packaging):

Himalaya Herbals is a range of natural, effective and safe products that use special herbs carefully selected from nature. Combining the best of Ayurveda with years of scientific research, these products effectively restore your skin’s natural health and vitality.

I really hope Himalaya herbals step up their game and bring more high quality products in the market. Their products are very hit-and-miss with me.
