Hi everyone, I recently attended a Blogger event hosted by Gillette Venus India. The agenda of the evening was to encourage women to adopt shaving as a hair removal technique. Since there are a lot of misconceptions around shaving, Gillette had brought 3 women to bust these myths and also educate other women on proper shaving techniques. There were Kriti Sanon, actress and Gillette Venus brand ambassador, Namrata Soni, celebrity makeup artist and beauty expert, and Dr. Rashmi Shetty, a leading dermatologist based in Mumbai, on the panel.  The event was held at Vivanta by Taj – Ambassador.

I got my shaving myths busted by the Gilette Venus beauty experts which I will be talking about in my next post. This was the first beauty event I attended after moving to Delhi and I had a lot of fun while also learning more about hair removal.

A little bit about shaving:
Shaving is the easiest, fastest and the most convenient way of hair removal. I had my reservations about shaving since my mind was full of myths prevalent in our society. But they all went away when I actually started shaving my legs. I had moved to Sweden and I was on a budget so shaving was pretty much my only option. I did it for over 10 months and did not face any problems. Since then, I have been a fan of shaving even though I do like waxing (it helps remove tanning) and alternate between these two methods of hair removal.
4 reasons I love shaving:

1. It takes a few minutes to do my legs and arms in the shower. Fast!
2. I can do it at any time of the day and the equipment (razor and any foaming agent) is always at hand. Convenient!
3. It is mess and pain free.
4. It has no side effects like burning, itching, etc.

Since I am pro shaving anyway, I have decided to take the Gillette Venus “Subscribe to Smooth” – 30 Day Challenge. Which means that I will stick to shaving for the next 30 days and share the progress report here on the blog. Fingers Crossed!
