FOTD: L'Oreal Paris Hidden Treasures Palette, Lakme Absolute Matte

Hi everyone, today I am bringing you the smoky eye I created this morning. I was in a mood to match my makeup with my clothes, which rarely happens, so I chose a colorful quad and matched it to a color that I think works great for Indian skintones. This the kind of smoky eye that I would wear for formal occasions since the colors are a lot subdued and also pair well with each other.

About the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche eyeshadow Quad – P2 Hidden Treasure: Champagne (Shimmer), Light Olive green (Shimmer), Black (Sparkle), Purple (Sparkle). There seems to be a shimmer spray on top of the green shade since I saw the color give less shimmer after the upper layer wore off from use. All of the shades look more pigmented in the packaging than the color payoff they actually produce.

Makeup breakdown:

Eyes: I really like the purple shade from the L’Oreal Paris Color Riche Quad – Hidden Treasures. But just to complement the outfit, I chose the light olive green shade as my base color. I applied it to the eyelids and then blended the edges with the black shades. I also applied the black shade in and above my crease. Next I used the champagne shade to highlight my brow bone and inner corners of the eyes. Then using a pointy brush, I applied the purple shade to the lower lashline.
To define my eyes and add to the depth of the smoky look, I applied black liquid liner on my upper lashline creating thin pointy wings at the end (I kept the eyeliner medium and not bold because of the shape of my eyes. If I apply a bold liner, the eyeshadow on the lids does not show with open eyes since I have droopy lids.) I also applied Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place eye pencil to my waterline
To open up my eyes, I applied two coats of the Etude House Lash Perm Eye-Long mascara. This product is also in line for review. To give you a hint, it is a good lengthening mascara.
Lips: I did not prep my lips for this lipstick other than applying a lip balm. This is a matte lipstick but it glides really well on the lips and sets to a matte finish. A couple of swipes give an opaque finish. This lipstick is up for review next.
Face: I have been using the L’Oreal Paris True Match BB cream for almost 6 months and I absolutely love it. It has the coverage of a foundation and the texture of a BB cream. So I used this BB cream to create the illusion of perfect skin.
For the under eye area, I used the Benefit Erase Paste to brighten and conceal it. I have been using this concealer for over a year (yet to review it on the blog, oops) and I love it. I have really bad dark circles so I usually go for something even heavier than this concealer but on days I wear BB cream (not foundation), I like to use this concealer to keep up with the almost-natural appearance of the skin (I mean as much natural as it can look with makeup).
To set the concealer, I have been using Etude House Dear Girls Be Clear Pact. It is a slightly pink compact with tiny shimmer particles to brighten the skin. Since it is a pact (powder), I use it only under the eyes. I never like how shimmer-y setting powders look on my skin so I reserve this pact only for my under eye area which always needs a lot of help to look bright!
I also added definition to my brows using my trusted The Face Shop Design My Eyebrow pencil. I have been in love with it for 2 years!
That is the complete look! I typed all of this in more than 40 minutes but I was able to do the makeup in less than 30 minutes.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Please leave requests for makeup looks or product reviews in the comment section!
