Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Ultra Rich Body Lotion REVIEW

Hi everyone I am here today with another one of my Forest Essentials review. I got a travel set from Forest Essentials a few weeks back and have been loving trying out the products, featured in a haul post, and I have already reviewed the Kashmiri Saffron & Neem Facial Cleanser. So let’s dive into the review of the Forest Essentials Indian Absolute Rose Ultra Rich Body Lotion.

Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Ultra Rich Body Lotion

Product: Forest Essentials Indian Rose Absolute Ultra Rich Body Lotion

Claim: Forest Essentials Body Lotion Indian Rose Absolute is enriched with cold pressed organic oils which make the skin soft and nourished. Kokum butter along with burnt sugar and organic beeswax provide natural hydration and make the skin smooth and supple. Antioxidant properties of Vitamin E and Gokharu reduce the ill effects of free radicals and give luster to the skin with a soothing and calming fragrance Rose.
Quantity: 200 ml (6.76 fl.oz.)
Price: 1075 INR (~17$)
Note: I used the 5o ml size priced at 325 INR.
As I have mentioned in my haul post, I received a set of 6 deluxe sized samples (50ml each) of the products in a travel kit. The contents were: Kashmiri Saffron & Neem Facial Cleanser, Aloe Vera & Sandalwood Sunscreen Lotion, Indian Rose Absolute Hair Conditioner, Indian Rose Absolute Hair Cleanser, Indian Rose Absolute Silkening Shower Wash and Indian Rose Absolute Ultra Rich Body Lotion.
As the name suggests, this body lotion is rich and provides a lot of relief from dryness for skin. It is not very fast absorbing and takes a few moments to seep in but it is really moisturizing and the effect lasts all through the day! I think it will work better for normal to dry skintypes.

The consistency of the body lotion is pretty thick and it takes a bit of shaking and squeezing of the tube to come out once you are halfway through. I like the fuss-free translucent bottle with gold twist open lid but I think the consistency of the lotion and the thickness of the packaging do not go well together. Either the consistency could have been a bit runny or the bottle could have been a bot softer to make squeezing a tad bit easy on the fingers. After I was 70% done with the product, it was a bit of a workout to get the lotion out. However, the packaging, for being sturdy and simple, is travel-friendly.
As a skincare junkie, it is my duty to examine the Ingredients list and as always with Forest Essentials products, I am impressed. This Indian Rose Absolute body lotion contains Burnt Cane Sugar, Olive Oil, Kokum Butter, Almond oil, grapeseed oil, organic beeswax, Vitamin E, Glycerin amongst other ingredients.

I love the delicate and fresh rose scent that the products from the Indian Rose Absolute range have. I am not too much into rosy scents as I am prone to headaches from the obnoxiously perfume-y rose smells but this one is pretty relaxing and nice.
The Ultra Rich Body Lotion, for reasons unknown, is referred to as Moisture Drenching Hand & Body Lotion on the website.
Note: Most Forest Essentials products expire in 24 months (2 years) from the Manufacturing date but, after opening they need to be used up within 6 months.

I would have liked to give this body lotion 5 on 5 since it worked really well for me but since it was a bit of a task to squeeze the last 10-15ml out (of 50ml bottle), I am deducting a few points. This is not the most affordable products out there but if you are looking for a cruelty-free, natural, nice smelling, moisturizing body lotion, this is a perfect fit! And totally worth it in my opinion.
