The Face Shop Pearl Essential mask sheet – Review

Today I am going to review a mask sheet from The Face Shop that I got last month during a sale. I am a huge fan of Pearl based skincare products even Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond because I think they are good for the skin. That might be the only reason I got this mask sheet because I had no idea about what to expect from it! I had never used a masksheet before but now I know and here is my experience with this mask!

The Face Shop Essential masksheet – Pearl

Product: The Face Shop Essential Masksheet Pearl
Claim: A Clear and translucent mask sheet for smooth and light absorption and intensive efficacy of pearl.
Directions:

  1. Pull out a sheet.
  2. Unfold and place it on the face.
  3. Remove after 15-20 minutes and let the residue absorb into skin.

The moment I opened the pack, I noticed that the masksheet was huge – both length and width wise. The masksheet was dense and the essence was not dripping from the masksheet (something I expected to happen).
It also had a chemical smell that I did not enjoy even though it was not very strong. It was a bit cooling to the skin which I am expecting is because of the number of alcohols in this mask sheet!
These also contain parabens so I am not a huge fan but for my first time, I loved the cooling effect and how relaxed I felt after using this mask. There was no apparent brightness but maybe it happens after a few uses. I only bought one masksheet so I cannot comment on that! The Face Shop really good masksheets so try out other masksheet ranges from them!
Rating: 3/5

I would prefer using face masks with lesser number of alcohols as they can be drying to the skin. I was not too happy with this mask sheet but it is pretty average. I prefer the Holika Holika 36.5 Fermentation mask sheet over this one!
