Hello! I am back with another review and this time it is for my favorite brand for mask sheet – The Face Shop Mango Seed Moisturizing Mask sheet. I have loved The Face Shop Blueberry Mask Sheet the most and this one comes a close second now. Read more to know why! (See The Face Shop haul here)

The Face Shop Mango Seed deep moisturizing mask sheet

Product: The Face Shop Mango Seed Moisturizing Mask Sheet
Claim: A deep moisturizing and relaxing mask sheet containing natural mango seed butter forms a protective shield over skin and moisturizes skin from deep within.
USP:

  • 100% organic, 100% pure cotton, and 0% bleach – this is a mild, environment-friendly sheet that richly delivers essence into your skin. Does not use bleach so you can feel the natural textures of cotton and cotton seed.
  • Formula without 7 additives (sulfate, mineral oil, alcohol, artificial coloring, animal-sourced ingredients, triethanolamine, benzophenone)

Directions:

  1. Pull out a sheet
  2. Unfold and place a sheet on a clean face after cleansing and toner stages.
  3. Remove the sheet after 15~20 minutes and let the residue get absorbed deep in the skin.

This mask sheet is pure unbleached cotton filled with essence. The other masksheets supposedly are bleached and are hence not as good for the skin. I did notice that the cotton sheet was not 100% white in color like a bleached mask sheet looks and it felt different on my face. After 15-20 minutes, the mask sheet got a bit dry (not drying to the skin but dry on the outside) and was easy to remove.
I usually keep the masksheet after removing it from my face near my bed when I go to sleep and throw it in the morning. The normal (bleached) masksheets still are a bit soggy  but this masksheet was completely dry. So I am sure the unbleached cotton mask sheet is a different concept and not some marketing strategy.
My skin felt hydrated, nothing bad or too different so I think the essence quality is pretty much the same. In my opinion, this mask sheet might be really good for people with sensitive skin!
It does contain fragrance which is the only thing I can point out that does not conform to my skin care preferences. I like having skin care products without fragrance even though I do not really mind it. In my opinion fragrance does not serve any purpose in skincare products, it is only meant to please the consumer. And I know that a lot of people judge cosmetics by their smell.

Most of The Face Shop mask sheets that I have used cost 1000 KRW but this one, may be because if their organic, cotton, paraben-free status, are available for 2000 KRW. I bought mine at a 50% sale so it does not bother me at all!

Have you tried The Face Shop mask sheets? What do you think about Korean skincare products?
