October 2016 FabBag Unboxing and Review!

It feels like I am doing a FabBag  unboxing and review after ages even though it has only been a month. I was scheduled to receive my FabBag in September but it never arrived because of the delay in the arrival of Sugar Mascara that I had opted for my September FabBag. The PR team decided to cancel that subscription and start my subscription again from October. This month, my FabBag arrived a couple of days ago but I only opened it now. With a full-time job, I have no time to film a video so here is the blogpost with the review and unboxing details of my October 2016 FabBag.

C.A.L Love Affair Matte lipstick – 03 Mulberry Purple

This month, we had the option to choose between some C.A.L makeup products in addition to Geri G. products. I ended up picking a shade 03 Mulberry Purple (labelled as “Kareena” on the lipstick bullet) that looked unique to me and perfectly suitable for the upcoming months. Thankfully, this lipstick shade is exactly what I expected it to be. It has the texture that is comparable to the Lakme Absolute Matte Lipsticks. The packaging is nice even though I am not too sure about the click closure. I think it does not close tightly enough to be thrown into the makeup bag for travel. I loved the shade and hope it works well for me. I will feature it soon in an upcoming FOTD!

Votre Lip Gel Scrub

There is a bit of confusion about this product. The packaging does not look like a full-size product, it even has a stamp underneath saying “sample not for sale”. But FabBag has labelled it as a full sized product. Anyhow, I am not too much into lip scrubs since I think almond oil and powdered sugar do a good job as well. I am still going to give this a try. The texture looks nice and since I get chapped lips in winter, I think this one will come handy to periodically get rid of the dead skin on the lips. Review coming up soon!

Kaya Brightening Serum

Price: 1490 INR

I have never used Kaya skin products before. I am hoping this serum is going to make me try out their skincare products. Since this is a brightening serum, I think it will work for my dull and dry skin. I am expecting this brightening serum to moisturize my skin and also make it look fresh whenever I apply it. I am definitely going to start using it from today and report back with my experience.

Veda Earth Cleansing Facial Oil

I have never heard of this brand but somehow am expecting it to have many good nature-origin products. I love trying out makeup removers since it only takes 5 minutes or less to know how well they work. They are also life savers for makeup lovers. A good makeup cleanser can make all the difference and that is why I am excited to receive this cleansing oil. I have loved the SKII Cleansing Oil and The Body Shop Chamomile Cleansing Butter before. I hope this works out well. Again, expect to see a review soon!

Stay Quirky Nail Polish – 03

Price: 165 INR
I do not buy nail polishes anymore. I used to have a huge collection and do nail art and share NOTD frequently. I have brittle nails now and they chip way before I can paint them. So, when I receive a nail paint, I grab it both hands. The Stay Quirky Nail Polish that I received is a wearable pink that I think is work-appropriate and would suit a variety of skin tones. The CAL lipstick is definitely the highlight of the October FabBag for me. I love that there is a full-sized makeup product in addition to skincare and nail products. For 599 INR per month, the October FabBag is a good deal in my opinion. You can get a better deal if you go for 3,6 or 12-month subscription. With deluxe size samples and 3 full-size products, this FabBag gets a thumbs up from me!
