FabBag April 2016 – Review and Unboxing (+Video)
FabBag arrived a few days ago but I have been busy taking care of my sister-in-law who went through a terrible situation recently. Anyway, she is recovering so I am slowly coming back to my normal routine. And I decided to finally sit down and do the review and unboxing of the “It’s A Spring Thing” April 2016 FabBag! I knew two of the products arriving this month since FabBag had their subscribers choose them last month itself. Rest were chosen by the FabBag team!
It’s A Spring Thing April FabBag:
- Catrice Long-lasting Eye Pencil Waterproof – 050 Brown Town Girl
- O3+ Skin White Day Cream SPF 15
- Soultree Aloe & Rose Water with Skin Toning Licorice Cleanser
- Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer – FC07 Medium
- Fresh Look 1 Day Color Lens – Grey
- Style Fiesta Accessory – Earrings

Let’s look at the products one by one!
Catrice Cosmetics Long-lasting Eye Pencil Waterproof – 050 Brown Town Girl
Claim: Highly pigmented, colour intense and with different effects, the Catrice Long Lasting Eye Pencil Waterproof is sure to make the eyes stand out from the crowd. Its smooth texture is particularly simple and accurate to apply.
Price: 330 INR
I got to choose one makeup product for this month’s Fabbag. There were lipliners and eyeliners to choose from and since I have been looking for a good replacement of my Etude House Proof10 Auto Pencil in BR402, I opted for the Catrice long-lasting eye pencil waterproof in 050 Brown Town Girl. The packaging is perfect – color coordinated bottoms, tip sharpener, retractable style – so I am quite happy with it.
The shade, however, is a little too dark for me. I was hoping for a taupe-y eyeliner that would look natural on me but this is a dark ash-y brown which might look black for the most part. But it is not a total disappointment because I know I will get a lot of use out of it. If you have any suggestion for a good brown eyeliner, do leave it in the comments section below!

O3+ Skin White Day Cream SPF 15
Claim: O3+ White Day Cream is enriched with nutrients that reduce skin pigmentation and enhance skin tone. Moreover this cream has UVA and UVB protection that helps in preventing sun tan.
Concern – Sun protection
Skin Type – Normal to dry, pigmented skin
Benefit – Fair & hydrated skin
Price: 775 INR

I am not into whitening creams per say but since I have heard so many good things about O3+ products, I am curious about the White Day Cream. Being a sample, I can carry it around easily and a squeeze tube for creams is always appreciated! My only concern is that with an SPF 15 how is this claiming sun protection, in my opinion it is too low especially since this has no mention of PA factor. We’ll see! I just finished using my Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Cream.
Soultree Aloe & Rose Water with Skin Toning Licorice Cleanser
Claim: Organic Aloe and fresh Rose water made from the wild Indian Rose is blended with Ayurvedic extracts of organic Licorice to give your skin multiple benefits. It cools and heals skin, lightens sun tan and using it daily as a cleanser ensures an even skin tone with visibly reduced blemishes.
Quantity: 120 ml
Price: 295 INR
This cleansing milk had come just at the right time, I just finished using my SK-II Facial Treatment Cleansing Oil. It has a pasty white lotion consistency and smells powder-y. I was expecting to smell some rose in it.
Since it is a travel-size bottle, I am keeping it for my upcoming travel days! I will review it soon!
Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer – FC 07 Medium
Claim: Fix those imperfections, dark circles and blemishes with this high coverage liquid concealer which is easily blend-able. This creamy formula is long-wearing and provides a natural finish.
Quantity: 9 ml
Price: 550 INR
I was so excited to see a Makeup Revolution product in my FabBag. I recently hauled some Makeup Revolution products from Amazon and was loving everything. It’s good that I got to try out another product from them. It looks like a creamy concealer but has a light-weight, almost water-y texture (not runny but thin) I have Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay in Place Flawless Wear concealer so I was expecting a similar creamy formula. I am wearing it in the video and I think it did not hide my dark circles too well. Well, that is just the first impression. Detailed review will be coming up soon once I get to use sufficiently!
Fresh Look 1 Day Color Lens – Grey
Claim: FreshLook Color Contact lenses brings you a range of 12 unique shades!
Price: 900 INR (for a set of 5 pairs)
I am super excited to try out color contact lens finally. I had been planning to do that anyway but I am so glad I get to try them before investing money! There are 12 shades to choose from, I chose Grey! A review definitely coming up soon on these FreshLook Color Contact Lens!
Style Fiesta Accessory
Price: 499 INR
I am wearing them in the video actually! I love accessories but I am not a huge fan of these. The price is a bit too high in my opinion.
Overall, I am pleased with the April FabBag! It is a good value for money considering two of the products are full-size and make up for the cost of FabBag. The only disappointment for me is the Style Fiesta Accessory. My favorite products from this month are the FreshLook Color Contact lens or the Makeup Revolution Focus & Fix Liquid Concealer (followed closely by Catrice Long Lasting Waterproof eyeliner)!
