Etude House Silk Scarf Damage Care Hair Ampoule – Review

A few months ago I ordered Etude House products from an online retail shop along with my friend. We shared the shipping and got quite a lot of cosmetics from our favorite Korean brands, Etude House being our drugstore favorite of all time. I got my hair colored at the time so I picked up a few hair products from the Etude House Silk Scarf hair care range. One of the products was the Etude House Silk Scarf Damage Care Hair Ampoule. I have used up 3 of the 4 ampoules and have a review of the product for you today!

how to use Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Damage Care Hair Ampoule
Etude House Silk Scarf Hair Damage Care Hair Ampoule

Etude House Silk Scarf Damage Care Hair Ampoule comes in a box of 4 individually packed bullet tubes. Each bullet contains 10 ml of the hair ampoule. The top part of the tubes crack opens on applying a little pressure to dispense the product. So no need of scissors in the shower! I like the packaging, it is peachy pink in color with polka dots and the individual conditioner capsules make this extremely travel-friendly and compact. I
With the length of my hair, I used only half of the ampoule at a time so I got 8 uses out of this product. When I bought it, I was expecting this to be something like a face ampoule which needs to be applied before cream/lotion. I thought I would apply this after washing my hair with a shampoo, followed by the hair ampoule and then conditioner. However, on reading the instructions I found out that it needs to be used like a conditioner.

I was not really disappointed with the result since I did get softer hair, which smelled nice too (sweet and citrus) but then any conditioner can do that too. Why call it a hair ampoule, call it a conveniently packaged conditioner (a little expensive too).
I have tried using this as a hair mask, leaving it on for 20 minutes, and also like a essence prior to conditioner and my hair does feel softer and more manageable after each use. I also noticed that my hair color (and effects) lasted longer as compared to using hair products not meant for colored hair. So anyway.

Etude House Silk Scarf Damage Care Hair Ampoule contains Macademia Seed oil, Camellia Japonica Seed oil, Argan oil, Sunflower oil, Lecithin which make it a great conditioning agent. It also contains Fragrance, Dimethicone (silicone) which make this not very different from other products in the market. I liked using this Hair Ampoule but it is definitely not a must-have in my opinion. I would recommend this to all Etude House lovers and people searching for travel-friendly conditioners!
