It feels like it was a billion years ago when I was living in Korea and checking out and swatching new products every day! I had a lot of fun especially since the owner of an Etude House outlet became a friend and let me swatch everything, take photos and also give me samples in bulk to try out. On one of those days, I swatched the Etude House Proof 10 Gelquid liners, probably close to when they were launched. I did pick up one shade of the 5 launched but forgot to review it. Recently, while searching my makeup collection I came across my Etude House Proof10 Gelquid Liner in BR402. I started using it again and decided to do a review too!

Etude House Proof10 Gelquid liners is a range of fusion eyeliner – gel + liquid. These eyeliners are claimed to be waterproof with creamy texture of a gel liner and great color payoff of a liquid liner. They also claim that these liners dry quickly without the tight sensation on the eye lid and are suitable for sensitive eyes. The Gelquid Liners come in sleek color coordinated tubes with black lids.
The brush is quite thin and flexible so it will take a bit of getting used to in the beginning and might also turn out to be a challenge for newbies. The formula is quite thin and light when compared to other liquid liners and once applied it performs like a gel liner!
I have oily eyelids so I experienced a bit of fading of after a few hours of wear but it did not vanish completely. I think it looked really good for about 3 hours before slowly melting away. It does not smear, and is easy to remove even with a gentle cleanser. It does not sting the eyes and is very lightweight.
There are 5 shades in the Etude House Gelquid liner range and I own BR402 Deep Sand. It is a copper-ish brown which brings attention to the eyes without looking bold. If I want to wear this eyeliner and also define my eyes, I apply a thin line of black eyeliner around my eyes and then apply this!

There are plenty of liquid liners at an affordable price which are easily available in the market. Etude House, however, offered this Gel + liquid formula aka Gelquid which sounded more amazing than it actually is. I enjoyed using this eyeliner but am in no hurry to buy it. People who love to experiment with liquid liners – black, brown, red, military green, copper – would love it. For the price, I am glad to have tried this!
