As promised in my previous post on Etude House new launch April-May 2014, I am sharing all the swatches of the Play 101 pencils. There are 50 pencils in this range but a few were missing everytime I went to take sawtches. So out of 3 times, I have kept this one where I have done 44 swatches out of 50! I got 44 swatches of the 50 Play101 pencils. It is easier to list the missing shades so those are: 9, 11, 16, 26, 27, 49.
Let’s start with the Play101 swatches 1 to 20 (Missing shades – 9, 11, 16)

The first two shades (1, 2)are pretty basic – matte black, glitter-y black.
The Next 4  (3,4,5,6) are more of the tear drop eyeliner aka inner corner highlighter type shades.
The next 2 (7,8) are matte shades supposed to work as concealers. Both of those are light for me while 10 works perfectly well under my eyes as a concealer. So even though they have listed only 7 and 8 as concealers, I think 9 and to (creamy, neutral and matte-finish) will work as concealers for medium skintones.
Shades from 11 to 30 are meant for lip and cheek. These are all peach, pink, orange, red, coral shades! Whether other pencils work multipurpose or not, I think everyone will like the 11-30 shades! I love shade 19 – It is the Radiant Orchid (Pantone Color of the year 2014)!
Play101 swatches 21 to 40 (Missing shades – 26,27)

As I mentioned above 11 to 30 are all colorful shades for lipstick, lipliner, lip gloss, blush purposes. The next 20 are specifically listed as multi-purpose, which I am thinking eyeliner and eyeshadow. Don’t we use our cream eyeliners as base for smokey eyes already? Well, I do and I think the different shades and finishes in this range are a good offering. I always love bright colors for my waterline so I am in love with 34, 35, 36!
Play101 swatches 41 to 50 (Missing shades – 49)

The pencils from 41 to 50 are something for people with a love of neutral shades! There is gold, coppery-gold, shiny beige, rose gold, medium brown, ash brown etc. I have a few eyeliners but I can absolutely buy all 10 from 41 to 50 knowing that I can and will use these every single day!
I will be doing my 3 pending Etude House hauls soon (and a video). I have been having some health issues so I only blog for 3 hours so I did not get time to take photos, write much. But I feel obliged to share the Play101 Pencils I bought in the past 2 weeks (8) – 6, 8, 10, 18, 19, 25, 36, 46! I liked a lot of shades and I am still trying out the Play 101 pencils so the reviews of individual finishes – matte, cream, glitter, gloss, shimmer will be coming within the next few weeks!
