Twenties are considered to be the times of people’s lives by many. With ageing considered an undesirable result of growing up, people want to stay in their 20s (at least skin-wise) for their whole life. Etude House fulfilled this need with their Like 20 skincare range which comes with the tagline – Just like 20’s skin. I just finished the third decade of my existence a couple of months ago and can attest to having better skin in my 20’s. So when I got a chance to experience my 20’s skin again, I grabbed it with both hands and picked up the trial kit of the Etude House Like Twenty skincare range!

Etude House Like 20 Booster Essence

Etude House Like 20 Booster Essence is the only skincare essence I have seen in tube form else usually the essence are in liquid form. This booster essence is translucent and has a gel like texture. It has the silicone feel to it (Dimethicone is one of the ingredients) and spreads like butter on the skin. It absorbs fast and leaves an even canvass for the rest of skincare and makeup. I enjoyed using it and felt a lot of difference in how my skin appeared after applying this. This is my first experience with the Ceramide products so I am quite excited to try out more products with this ingredients. Ceramide is supposed to be great for dry skin! If you are not into silicone based products, then you ca skip this but for my dry skin, this essence worked wonderfully.

Eye creams are usually rich and have a different texture than a typical face cream an are meant only for the delicate under eye skin. I have really dry skin and have developed some fine lines due to my insomnia (I am 30). I started being disciplined about using eye creams about a year ago and the Etude House Like Twenty Eye Concentrate is the richest eye cream I have ever used.
It feels really creamy but not silicone-y even though it does contain silicones. It absorbs into the skin well but takes a few moments so I tried to use it at night time mostly and something else for the day. I felt a bit of a difference in my skin after using this. And this 5 ml sample lasted me more than 2 weeks even though the rest of the things lasted me a week or so only. I definitely recommend it to people with dry skin (in the under eye area) or generally people with dry skin. People in their early 20’s may not need so much richness. After all this eye concentrate (or this whole skin care range) is targeted towards people who want to have skin like their 20’s (So they are older than 29 ;))

This might be my least favorite product from the line. It is too waxy for my taste even though many similar ingredients are there in the rest of the skincare range. This might work really work for summer days but I did not find this cream pact moisturizing enough. It worked well as a makeup base though. I like using primer since I have uneven skintone so this one made a primer redundant. Since I did not get much skincare benefit from this product, I considered more like a makeup product.
At a time, I had to use a lot more of the product than a primer though and also since this needs to be used a sponge, I felt that I had little control over how much product the sponge picked at a time. I finished off this product in 3 uses. 1g in 3 uses means I will probably finish up the full-size product in less than a month. Plus for hygiene reasons, I will have to replace the sponge frequently. I honestly don’t know if I liked this product 100% even though it did give my skin an even base for makeup! I would not repurchase it but I will recommend it to people looking for a skincare product that creates an even skintone (without primer)!

Since this product has been discontinued by Etude House, I decided to not include the review. But then I saw that it is still available on other websites selling Korean brands so I thought the review may be helpful to some. Etude House Like 20 Finishing cream is one of the richest skin creams I have come across. It has worked so well for my skin, I am sad that this product is no longer available with the brand.
This cream has a rich texture and absorbs relatively faster (considering its richness) and keeps the skin hydrated for hours. I used it a couple of times for the day but felt that it felt heavy for daytime use so I stuck to night time use and I woke up to nourished skin everytime I used this the previous night. It made my skin more hydrated than some sleeping masks and sheet masks I have used. If it was still available, I would recommend it to people with dehydrated skin!/

I enjoyed trying out the Etude House Like 20 Ceramide + Murumuru oil skin care range. I would consider repurchasing the Eye concentrate followed by the Booster Essence.
